Just what I needed to repair my air compressor check valve.
The check valve failed on my Central Pneumatic 29-gallon compressor. An exact replacement check valve was impossible to find (3/4" male port into the tank, 1/2" male port from the pump, and 1/8" female port to the unloader). I found a common replacement check valve with a similar configuration, but different sized ports (1/2" male port to the tank, 3/8" male port from the pump), and this reducer worked perfectly to connect the new check valve into the 3/4" tank hole. It threaded on smoothly with no leaks and has held up under pressure, <150 PSI.

I couldn't find this at my local hardware store and I had to order a multi pack to get delivered to the store. Bought a single one from Amazon and had it a couple of days. The threads look nice and sharp and fit the 3/4" ball valve perfectly

It works with plumbers tape
I got this to hook up a hose to the spare shower in my apartment. It leaked at first but worked fine once I used plumbers tape. Now I can clean my balcony easily and when ever I want.

Not threaded all the way through
Most contractors use these to plumb pickup lines in tanks , etc. Unfortunately they did not thread these the entire way and so they are useless in that application.
