I purchased this product at the recommendation of my veterinarian because my very old cat needed fiber in her diet. .She’s a very picky eater. I mix this product in with her wet food, and she is not at all aware of its presence. I’m very pleased and relieved to have this product available

This is a better option than the supplements in pet stores since it's just natural fiber.

While I can't speculate on assurances that this is a GF or DF product, all I can say is that I've found it to be superior to other psyllium husks and powders I've used in the past. This one is ground super fine, and a lighter shade of beige than others, which can be be more brown. Be aware though, that the fine grind isn't going to make this "dissolve" in liquid. This is insoluble fiber, after all. Other reviews site clumping as a complaint with this product. This is simply the nature of psyllium, so you have to be patient in working with it. I've found that by adding it VERY gradually via slowly sprinkling it VERY THINLY over the surface of the liquid while stirring is the best bet to get it incorporated thoroghly without developing lumps. So go slowly. I don't mean it'll take minutes, but it will take more seconds than stirrig sugar into a cup or bowl.

Ever have protein powder that just glues itself to the sides of your bottle? This does something similar to the utensil and container you add it to.

Wow, I could almost cry. I had no idea how helpful psyllium husk was!! Without tmi, I will tell you that if you’re at all on the loose side, this stuff is incredible!!

Doesn't dissolve well when mixed with water like other brands would only use this when baking .

Tends to clump so need to work to dissolve this but after that its easy to drink and dont mind the taste which is quite neutral.
