Thick and sticky, specialized ingredient used for authentic Korean recipes
I bought this syrup to make several Korean recipes that called for it. It's my understanding that this rice syrup is a little different from the brown rice syrup made and sold in the US. I wanted authentic ingredients, which is why I chose to buy this.This syrup is very thick, and it's kind of sticky. I had to squeeze it out of the bottle because it was too thick to pour. It doesn't have a lot of flavor and it's not super sweet, but then it's not supposed to be drizzled over pancakes so that's okay. The purpose is to add just the right amount of sweetness and gloss to Korean recipes. I use it in Korean sauces and side dishes.If you are looking for standard brown rice syrup for baking, you might want to try Lundberg. If you are preparing authentic Korean dishes, you'll definitely want to use the real thing. The Ottogi brand has a good reputation for quality, and it's imported from Korea. I'll keep buying this.

Korean Rice Syrup.
I was looking for rice syrup to make my own KIND bars. I tried using honey with lite corn syrup but could not get the crispy texture. I couldn't find rice syrup locally so of course I went on Amazon.I decided to try this Korean brand and I am glad that I did. I made 2 different KIND bars today plus a large tray of other granola bars and they came out perfect. Very tasty. I make my own vanilla and ginger syrups but rice syrup was a little more complicated.Loved this one so much I just ordered 2 more bottles.

Yummy
This has such depth of caramel flavor! Better than most maple syrups. I can hardly wait to try it in dressing for potato salad. I make a sweet & sour potato salad dressing that is super good for my mom's potato salad.

This does not taste like American rice syrup
Thank heavens I can get Korean rice syrup! This does not taste like American rice syrup. The American brands add barley malt, so I've been told, and it leaves a nasty taste in the syrup. This is 100% rice and it tastes delicious. It has a sort of carmel/butterscotch taste to it that I love. It also helps me overcome sugar cravings because it is actually nutritious. I highly recommend this product!

Used as sweetener
I used this syrup to make a healthier rice crispy treat. It was easy to mix with the peanut butter and.sweetened the mixture peefectly.

Rice Syrup
When I make an Oriental dish, some dishes leave me feeling like something is missing in the ingredients. I now add this when those not so great dishes are made and yes it definitely makes a difference. Packaging was excellent, price was fair, and delivery was ahead of schedule. I will order again!

Great! I bought this brand because of the price, after I could not find any brown rice syrup at my local grocery store. I use it to make homemade granola/KIND bars and it works great. Messy to work with, but it does the trick. I will be buying more.
