Love this lip balm. More like a salve its texture is super luxurious, lubricates for much longer than a chapstick version. The colour isn’t very obvious on my dark complexion but just what I was after for my dry lips.

I got an app that tells me if there are harmful chemicals in my makeup and products, and it turned out my favourite lip gloss (different brand) had toxic ingredients. So, I found this product, which has no toxic ingredients at all. This seems important, as it’s on my mouth and I must end up eating a lot of it. I really like Dr Lipp and will definitely buy it again. I’ve already bought a 3-pack of three shades. Like other reviewers, I’d be happy if there was a little more pigment - it’s very very sheer. But it is a terrific and comfortable product that I’ve been recommending to friends and family. It comes off quite easily and isn’t fragranced. It’s quite thick and I have to squeeze the tube hard when it gets more empty. But it’s a great product that is well worth getting. I’ve found it’s also really good for cuticles!

So sad this was my favourite lip product for a while left my lips feeling so nourished and a lovely colour, I enjoyed the whole Dr. Lipp line but sadly I developed an allergy to lanolin and it caused a bad reaction to my lips that took a few months to clear up so please be aware as it can be irritating to some. If I hadn't have got this allergic reaction I would still be using it everyday day and it would have got 5 stars cause I really enjoyed using it, just sadly unfortunately i did so I have deducted 2 stars for that reason.

Review of the Sweet Potato version. I like this as a lip gloss. It's very hydrating, feels nice on my lips and it lasts. A little sticky (but then lip gloss usually is) but not at all goopy. I knocked off a star because there seems to be no tint. Maybe I'll get more colour when I get to the bottom of the tube, the ingredients are natural so maybe they've separated a little? So buy it as a hydrating, comfortable gloss to moisturize and plump dry lips but don't expect much in the way of colour (maybe the other ones Elderberry and Radish have more pigment).
