JVL 11-314 Belvoir Fireside Companion Tool Set, Black, One Size

Lovely sturdy good looking fire set but it needs a washer to stop the top wobbling. I contacted the very unhelpful company requesting just a washer. I was asked for proof of purchase - Invoice number etc., just for a washer !!! I was expecting “ of course we can send you a black washer we will pop one in the post for you “ reply5 stars for fire set. 0 star for unhelpful staff.

Good sturdy companion set, very reasonably priced.

Look good next to our logburner but feel a little lightweight when using them. The stand is a bit rickety too

These look perfect .Nice & heavy, so don't fall over like some when you lift of one tool.Solid iron.Well worth the money.

Shame I found a similar one cheaper in our local Home Bargains store a few days later! (But I'd used this by then)Self assembly required.Some handles seem a little loose though and you can't really amend that! (without using glue I guess)Brush isn't best quality but at the end of the day you're going to be sweeping ash! - Does look like you can replace it. So no doubt flea-bay will come in helpful when the need arises.Poker relatively short so if you like to mess & poke I'd suggest either wearing a heat gauntlet or getting a longer separate poker!The little clip on the tongs when arrived looked like /___\ To avoid it falling off when opening & using the tongs, bend one half round the pole so it slides up & down whilst other part can still clip.Husband thinks the tongs are rubbish - I think they're fine & I can easily pick up smokeless coal cobs!Overall not a bad purchase, quality not brilliant but it does it's job.
