GROHE Grohtherm Thermostatic Bath Mixer Trim Set to Control Shower and Bath Filling Functions, Concealed Installation, Chrome, 24077000

Is a great shower and was working well for 2 month. Thsn suddenly start losing water pressure. I gues issue is with thermo valve/ cartrige as tested water pressure in incoming pipes and is all good. Done cleaning as per instruction in manual but didn’t help. If valve is replaced hope will work well for few years as that’s what I expect drom Grohe.

Typical Grohe quality so very pleased with the function, didn’t give it 5 stars due to the difficult to understand ‘picture’ instructions. Luckily I found a video on YouTube which made it easier to fathom, also the set up of the water temperature was also more complicated than I anticipated but overall I’m very happy with the performance of the shower controller and the minimal look.

I expected a premium experience given the premium price (other options I considered were 1/3rd of the price) but can't help but be a bit disappointed by the poor design of the controls - it's hard to switch off because the selector doesn't give feedback (e.g. a click) when you reach the central position so you have to pay attention else you end up with dripping water and have to go back to adjust it to exact centre. Furthermore it's really hard to read the etched indicators showing which way is the rain shower head and which is on the rail, so visitors often guess wrong get an unexpected surprise (i.e. drenched when they weren't ready for it), hence I now have to remember to tell visitors which way to turn it, which is stupid.On a more positive note the temperature does remain very stable when somebody else in the flat uses hot or cold water (e.g. flushes the toilet) but my previous £50 thermostatic mixer did a pretty good job of that too.Alas I don't think this was £300 well spent - that's including the cost of the Smartbox 35600000 that you have to buy too but isn't mentioned anywhere on this listing so I had to order in a hurry when my plumber told me I needed it - hence the low score.

Great quality and looks the business. Really glad I bit the bullet and replaced my old shower unit with this one.. thermostatic control is also a great perk, especially with having younger kids in the house, highly recommended

Quality product

Replacing an old shower thermo mixer was probably the hardest job I took on. I spent a lot of time researching and decided on this product. It worked brilliantly. There was a bit of work installing but loads of YouTube videos solved that. Great quality product turning off and on shower.
