Happy with size and ease of use
I love porcelain palettes because it is easy to mix paint. They don't pill or stain. This one offers enough wells to let me choose every color I need for a given project. The wells are small enough that I don't waste paint. The palette is easy to pick up and move, but doesn't take up my whole workspace, while still giving me enough room to mix. It is easy to wipe clean if I need to change colors.

Beautiful Little Palette
This one is like the little version of the biggest rectangular ceramic palette from Medeen, and it's beautiful! It's great and reliable, for travelling or at the studio, if you don't like to have too many big items over the table... For Watercolors or Gouache, you do not need to use a Lot of paint, so the slots in this palette are more than enough, and the mixing zone is big enough to work just fine, at least for small to medium watercolor pieces, depending of the amount of elements you have in the illustration.

The perfect size and material!
Customized my own Daniel Smith 14 watercolor mixing palette, leaving 4 empty wells to create my own mixes during a painting. Lovely hefty palette, nice & flat. Could be used either side up. I have been using a recycled TV dinner plastic plate that had yellowed with age for about the past 20 years! So, this palette, the bright white porcelain was a game changer for color matching. The ONLY negative, I wish it came with a storage box. I have a very small area for art, so need to store things when I change media. It would be nice to have a perfectly sized container to place it in so my paints don't get dusty & palette could be protected.

The difference between plastic and ceramic/porcelain is noticeable.
I KNEW I NEEDED A PALETTE when I began learning to watercolor paint. I first purchased a plastic watercolor palette with an insert with 18 wells, two large mixing spots between the wells, another with the lid, and a third with the insert. Unfortunately, one of the minor annoyances when working with plastic is the watercolor paint tends to bead. (I provided an image above).I tried a few things recommended by other artists, such as washing the plastic with toothpaste (did not work) and ultimately ended up using a very fine grit sandpaper in the large mixing areas to try and combat it--which sort of worked. Unfortunately, the added plastic palette insert broke, and the "airtight" part of the old plastic palette was not airtight. When this arrived, it did so in perfect condition with excellent precautions in place to keep it from damages. It isn't too thick, but has a decent weight to it that it doesn't slide around. The wells aren't as long or deep as my old plastic palette, but that is fine. The single mixing surface is good enough for the time being, but I feel like I may want a butcher's pan or a big single pan at some point for further mixing--for now, it does exactly what I need it to do, and without the beading.Super easy to clean, too, a quick rinse or wipe with a damp paper towel, and it's clean. The best, however, is unlike the plastic palette--sanded or not--it doesn't stain! (So far.)RECOMMEND? YES.I recommend this one to those beginner artists looking to say goodbye to plastic and hello to an affordable porcelain/ceramic palette.

Very nice!
This is my main palette for watercolor painting, as it holds so many colors.I think if I had any negatives about this one, it would be the size of the wells. While it works great for most watercolor brushes, if I want to do a larger piece with bigger brushes, I need a palette with larger wells. That said, over all, I love this palette. it lets you mix, and water your paints, without beading up, so you can actually see what color you have as well as it's consistency. It's easy to clean and doesn't stain. I think I may get the bigger one too.

It's just the right size.
Just right! The size is great. I needed a mixing area but I don't have a lot of space where I work from so this was great. It also has enough weight to it that when I'm mixing it won't travel all over the table.

A wonderful palette for your watercolor.
It's a beautiful product, the quality is smooth and crisp. Paints blend wonderfully on the ceramic mixing area . The small wells hold a nice portion of paint and I love using a pen to lable each color.I love how easily it cleans. When you wipe the mixing bed with a damp cloth it cleans perfectly. NO stains ever. I purchased a small clear drawer box to store mine in to keep the dust off when I don't use it.It's a beautiful addition to my art studio I own two now and love them
