I was a motivated consumer on this item because I never liked the “descending bubble” oil stick that came on a 2009 Mini Cooper. The Amazon algorithm gave it conformation that it would work on that vehicle.The diameter of the receiving end did match that of the Mini Cooper and it did have an “o” ring. After that, things went south in a hurry.Unlike the photos in the ad, the top of the stick had no demarcation that it was an oil stick. Plain black. Again unlike the photo, no means was available to adjust the length of the stick as it migrated downward toward the oil reservoir. No verbiage was marked on the stick except a hash marking. And Amazon fibbed, it was much longer than the OEM stick and the hash mark in no way lined up with any of the original descending bubbles.Being highly motivated, I made my own marks with a transfer punch. I will attempt to scribe full and add abbreviations to assist the mechanic that services the vehicle. At least I did not push it through the bottom of the oil reservoir.
