Installed on 2003 civic. Fit was correct and appears to have fixed my overheating issue.

Worth the few extra dollars!
The first Honda thermostat lasted 22 years! I decided to spend an extra $10 to get an OEM replacement over some of the other brands. It's hard to beat Honda quality, just ask my 2002 Honda Accord! This thermostat will no doubt outlast the car; the first I ever bought for my daughter. It's my favorite to drive, so I kept it long after she moved on to bigger and better. While I don't plan on the car being around another 22 years, I also know that the new thermostat will never fail, unlike many of the more inexpensive brands. Why have a day or a trip interrupted over $10?! Buy this Honda OEM part instead!

Genuine Honda part, fits 2003 Civic Ex, easily installed
Replaced a generic version when 2003 Civic engine was overheating, but no heat was coming out of interior vents. OEM parts are always worth the extra few dollars, especially for Hondas. The old thermostat was stuck closed, not allowing coolant to circulate from engine to radiator.Tips:1) Install the rubber gasket with the notch directly over the jiggle pin.2) the two rubber "nubs" on the gasket go on the spring side of the thermostat and will fit into slots on the thermostat housing when you install. When properly fitted, the jiggle pin is at 12 o'clock.3) once thermostat is installed and the bolts are tightened, check all your radiator hoses for leaks and tighten all hose clamps4) start engine cold with radiator cap off. Add 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water a little at a time until radiator is full.5) replace radiator cap6) when engine reaches operating temperature, turn on your heat to ensure that the hot coolant from the engine is circulating through the radiator and the heater core.7) There are many YouTube videos that will show you how to do this simple repair.

Exactly what I needed for my 2000 CRV
I put a new motorad thermostat in and it failed immediately. The car wasnt overheating but was running very warm and temperature was fluctuating a lot. Bought this oem thermostat and immediately fixed the issue. Now the temp is running right where it should.

1997 Honda Accord
Purchased for a 1997 Honda Accord LX. Temperature guage in dash was not moving at all. Stayed pointing down. No overheating issues. Thought it might be the thermostat stuck open. Replace thermostat and temperature sensor ajacent to the thermostat and everything works fine now. (purchased a used replacement sensor at pull-a-part $7)
