Better bath mat than others I've tried
Edit: I just reduced my rating to 2 stars rather than 4. They keep making this mat thinner and thinner rubber from year to year. Just bought my 4th one and it does indeed hurt the bottoms of my feet. Almost like standing on a bunch of small marbles and not very comfortable at all!I do have very sensitive bottoms of my feet, can't stand the bath mat's with large suction cups, and this one seems to be fairly comfortable to stand on. It's kind of strange when 1st laying it down in the bottom of our white tub it looks more light gray rather than white but believe it lightens with a little use.Who said this Ginsey bath mat has "Anti-mildew protection" to begin with? It's only listed in the Amazon description, not on the bath mat box, not in the directions you receive with this mat, and not listed on the ginsey.com site. Believe it used to be listed with this product when you received it but not anymore. And for good reason since it will gather dark mildew particularly on the bottom. They say not to use bleach to clean it but sorry I use Softscrub w/bleach and a scrub brush to clean both the top and bottom. And how many adults taking showers really pull this mat up and hang it on the side of the tub after each use? My wife and I don't. Besides, it takes some stepping down on the entire mat when re-installing to get the suction cups to stick to the wet tub so it doesn't slip. This is our 3rd exact same bath mat and I'll continue to buy them since they are better than other ones we've tried. Once the mildew stains start creeping around the edges, which can't be removed, there's a place in the garage for them and they're great to lay on when working on autos! Lol, but true!PS. I would hope these used bath mats Amazon is selling for $6.65 are only slightly used.

Great suction, but slippery top
Much thinner than my old rubber mat, which is good and bad. It's more flexible and easier to wrangle over a towel bar to dry than the old mat, but it may turn out to be less durable. To be determined. The edges curled under badly when I first got it but one end has relaxed after several months of use and the other seems to be on its way. The suction cups on the bottom are excellent: they really cling to the porcelain and don't let go until you rip the mat off the floor of the tub. Unfortunately, the top surface of the mat is not as slip-proof as the underside. Wet, soapy feet can slide fairly easily, and the shallow embossed pattern does not do much to stop them. It would be far better if the design were cut deeper, but I guess they couldn't do that with a mat this thin.

Great purchase, very satisfied!
My old bathtub mat got so moldy, I couldn't deal with it anymore and it ended up in the trash can. I was on the market for something that is eco-friendly and feels good under my feet. This one fits the description. It is made of natural rubber (I am not sure what that means, but it sounds better that toxic PVC, latex or other plastics out there). It is very nice looking in my bathtub and it feels great for my sensitive feet. I can't speak about molding, since I just received it yesterday, but I expect it to mold like every other mat I had, unless I take extra care of it and hang it dry after every use (it's not going to happen!). Also, some people complained about the smell; yes, it smells a little, but it is not offensive nor strong smell. I expect the smell to be gone within few days.

Great mat for toddler
I bought this to put in the tub for our toddler...she was slipping around whenever she tried to stand up. This mat is perfect...it doesn't have the "chemical smell" at all, like I know a lot of people (including myself) do not particularly care for. It is very easy to clean off, and I just throw it over the side of the tub because it is not horrendously huge. Our tub is white and it blends into it very well...it has a nice pattern and is not obnoxious at all. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a good mat to put in the tub for when you bathe your baby/toddler.

Safe and comfortable
I can't believe the complaints about discomfort with this. (Thinking of 'the princess and the pea".) I am approaching 70 and my balance isn't what I wish it were. I was getting to the point that a shower was frightening, and a bath totally unsafe. Am ordering my second, one for the tub in the "main" bathroom, and one for the shower/tub in my bathroom. I LOVE the freedom and sense of safety this gives me. YES, you can feel the textured "grippers" on the bottom of the mat, but they are comfortable enough to sit on, let alone stand. I am allergic to latex so the 'real' rubber is a plus. Thank you for allowing me to soak in a bath tub again!

It gave good traction to my husband getting in and out of ...
I purchased this mat when my husband had hip replacement so he would not slip in the shower. I am very sensitive to chemical smells, and had tried other so-called "rubber" mats that smelled awful, and were thrown out. This mat may have had (I don't even remember it was so slight) a very, very slight rubber smell but it went away very quickly. It stuck to the tub well, but I was able to pull it up to rinse and dry on the side of the tub. It gave good traction to my husband getting in and out of the shower. I have told friends about how well it worked.

Ginsey AquaTouch ECO Friendly Rubber Mat - NOT SO FRIENDLY
I wanted to like this product but I couldn't get passed the fact that it is NOT mold and mildew resistant. Mold/mildew will form in a couple days if not allowed to dry properly and it becomes such an icky mess. The worst part is that the mat will be left with horrible black stains when you clean the mat (don't ever know if the mold/mildew is ever gone even when treating with Tilex or Clorox Clean-Up). That's my reason for two stars. The functionality of the mat was acceptable, the suction cups did stay in place for a given amount of time, but the mat would eventually start slipping toward the drain as mold/mildew built up. The mat was also a tad too long for my tub so that compounded the issue. I guess I didn't realize how much maintenance is required.I didn't think a mat of this nature would be such a chore to maintain. I finally threw it away after five months of use after purchasing a smaller Ginsey Rubbermaid rubber mat (16x28). It is a better fit overall. I will also do a better job of lifting this new mat to make sure it dries properly after each use.
