This worked perfectly for my kiddo and made my mama heart feel at ease when he would go swimming. Our doc told us to not get water in his ear but we were leaving on vacation the next week, where we'd be in water, daily. So I researched other items and I paired this with the maluable wax and this headband held it in place perfectly. I explained to my 4 yr old why we needed to add this to his head, over his ears and he understood and it didn't bother him. I offered for him to put his own wax in and he was in charge to make sure he threw it away once we were done for the day. Sometimes the band would sort of slip down but it really kept his ears dry with the wax (separate purchase). It was easy to sinch back in place.

Got this product after ear tubes ! I didn’t want anyone to miss the fun this summer and it actually works ! Able to play in water all day and seal out water and anything else from entering or falling out of ears ! Durable and Functioning! Must have this summer !

Love how tight you could get it. It didn't really seal off the water but it helped have the water steep through slowly. I used this while a cruise to block water from getting in my ear. In conjunction with some water plugs and that did seem to do the trick to keep water out. It was super important to keep water out of my ear during our trip because there was a hole in my eardrum. I was very grateful for this!! The quality is great for the money and very easy to use and hasn't tore or anything with the many adventures we had on the cruise.

I have purchased for my son who gets persistent ear infections for using in the shower, it doesn’t really do a great job of keeping the water away from the air. Sometimes when I take it off, I can feel water on the inside. I can only imagine what it does if someone is swimming.

My son is 5 and the medium fits nicely. I did measure his head and compare it to the size chart to be sure. He has tubes in his ears, so these came recommended by his doctor to use along with Putty Buddies. He wasn’t confident going under water with only Putty Buddies in, and this ear band helped to make them feel more secure in his ears. They work very well at keeping the Putty Buddies in place and the water out. The down side is that because the band going across the forehead is so wide, he can’t wear his face mask with it (the type of goggles that cover your eyes and nose), which is his preference, because you can’t get a good seal on the forehead. You can wear regular eye goggles though. It is also so tight and wide that it squishes his eyebrows down into his eyes making him look mad all the time. 😂 And If he’s not careful about the placement, the Velcro strap will rub a red raw sore spot on the back of his neck. Overall, while there are some inconveniences, this ear band has been successfully keeping the Putty Buddies in and the water out.

I have a 3 1/2 year old whom has had 2 sets of tubes/buttons. Our ENT recommended this band for swimming purposes- as our custom ear molds cost us $100 and any unusally swim landing, dive, flop, could possibly force them out and water to intrude the ear and then the loss of the ear plugs in a large swimming pool! I am so glad I got it! This is our 2nd one. We purchased the 1st one when she was 1 1/2 for that summer swimming adventures and lasted the following year (age 2 1/2) and again this year age 3 1/2 size (2nd one- size Medium). I have had so many people ask about it when we travel on vacation and they have wished their ENT recommended one! My mother who likes to swim a few times a week likes the fact that it could keep your shorter hairs off of your face while swimming instead of a swim cap. An added bonus, I think is that when at the beach it is great sun protection to the delicate ears! Would buy again for sure ! And recommend to anyone who has spent $$$ on custom ear molds (to prevent water from getting in the ears!)Be sure to let it air dry....some others indicated that their is falling apart...I use mine a lot not problem.Review from 1st purchase at age 15 months:Before purchasing, please measure your child's head to make the right size selection!!! This is a must for secure fit! My child has tubes and the custom ear molds. I am glad that I have this because it keeps the ear molds secure without any worry...ear molds are quite expensive. Also, in general when you are at the beach or the pool, it asorbs any unexpected splash! My child is 15 months and I put a white sun hat on at the beach/pool and the band did a color run on to the white hat but I was able to get it out. Her ears are more important than the hat, but thought that you would like to know this.
