Good quality product and works for lap swimming
It’s very good product for lap swimming as you don’t have to turn your head and bring it up everytime . No leaks while under water . Just be aware that you should not use it continuously as oxygen level goes down as you breath through your. Out all the time with this product . I mean between Laps you should stop and breath through nose as a safety precaution . Overall best product if you looking for one . Quality is also good .

Game changer for lap swimming
I looked at a number of different snorkel units before deciding on this one. I did read reviews about it being difficult to breathe while you’re swimming. I have not noticed this when I use it but everybody’s different. This was easy to put on and use for lap swimming. I wear a swim, cap goggles and the snorkel. Everything stays in place as it should, It’s comfortable And works well.

Not too shabby!
This is my first snorkel just for swimming laps. The diameter of the chamber is smaller than a snorkel used for scuba and snorkeling activities, therefore giving it a built in air flow restriction for building lung capacity. The shape of the tube has a nice hydrodynamic contour to it. The height adjustment is very good too. The headband padding is OK, but not as comfortable as I would like. The materials used throughout seem excellent...I think it will hold up for some time. A bit pricey, but it IS a Speedo. Anyhow, it works great! I'm already getting used to the air flow restriction. It was shifting to one side a bit at first, but a quick headband tension adjustment fixed that. Also, once after pushing off the wall during a flip turn the mouthpiece almost got torn out of my mouth. I did not have the height adjustment set properly at the same time I had the loose head strap. Once you get everything set up this snorkel is just fine! Clearing water out of the tube after a flip turn(total submerge) is easy. No need for the purge valve that are on other snorkels. Not that there's anything wrong with purge valves on snorkels. I think they work great, just not completely necessary. The silicone mouthpiece is very comfortable. I like it, but if I lose it, I might try another brand first, and then come back to this one. I deducted one star for headband padding comfort and price. Overall not too shabby!

Works Well
I loved that I was able to concentrate on my swim form without the extra effort of lifting the head out of the water to breathe. This worked very well for me and resulted in a more beneficial workout. At first, water wanted to get into my nose but after 5-10 minutes of getting accustomed to swimming with the snorkel, I had no problem. A lady also doing laps with a snorkel in the lane next to me said she continues to have a problem with that issue. Perhaps the device that pinches the nose would be helpful.

Breathing is good!
My son is a competitive swimmer, this Speedo snorkel is the only one that allows him to complete the set and not have trouble breathing!

This is exactly what I wanted
This is my first swim snorkel and I'm really pleased with it. I spent a lot of time reading reviews and checking out youtube videos. I had some concerns with all of the snorkels I looked at but settled on this one. I am a 50+ relatively out of shape woman. I have snorkeled in my younger days. I wasn't sure how I'd like any swim snorkel running up the front of my face. With this one, I was a bit concerned if it would restrict the airflow too much. I also read a review where the reviewer felt it was made like a kid's toy. So here are the pros: it is solid. The snorkel it a tight fit into the frame but I did have it assembled in probably 2 minutes. Gave it a rough adjustment at home, guessing at my head angle - that took another 2-3 minutes. It has no screws to break, no purge valve to leak. The silicone mouthpiece pops off and on easily for easy cleaning but is a secure fit. the split strap is solid and easily adjustable. Once I was in the water I immediately submerged myself, filled the snorkel and came up for a trial purge. A good exhale easily cleared the snorkel. In use I only noticed the snorkel if I got my head out of alignment or if I looked for it. With normal use I really don't notice it at all. The pad on the frame fits comfortably and there were no pressure points and no discomfort. The mouthpiece is a comfortable fit and I had no problem getting/maintaining a seal while leaving my jaw relaxed and allowing for adequate airflow. The snorkel felt very stable in use and did not move. Water flow and turbulence from other swimmers in the water did not budge it. My biggest concern was the smaller size tube restricting airflow. I did not feel like I was working hard to breathe. Prior to getting this snorkel I breathed every 4th stroke and could only swim 2-3 lengths before I got winded. First time in the pool and I swam for a half hour non-stop and swam harder than I usually do, so it was a non issue for me. It did take about 5 laps or so of playing with my breathing before I felt comfortable with it. I did not have trouble with water entering the snorkel, did intentionally submerge it a couple of times and again did not have trouble clearing the snorkel with a solid exhale. By the end of my first session, it just seemed normal - didn't have to think about breathing and could concentrate on whatever else I wanted to. I haven't had this for long but I don't anticipate any problems with it. Cons: I wish it had come with a mesh storage bag. (the TYR and Michael Phelps do) I just ordered one so I have a place to hang when I shower (I usually rinse my gear off while I'm in the shower and carry mild soap for those items that need more than a water rinse). If I run into future problems with this I plan to update this review. UPDATE: I've been using this over a year now and still love it. I'm swimming 3-5 times/week for at least an hour/swim. Now that I'm in better shape I've learned that the harder you swim the more you notice the air restriction - it gives you a great workout. No parts to break, still comfortable. Easy to clean. The lettering on the word "Speedo" is a little worn, but that is all, otherwise it's just like the day I took it out of the packaging. UPDATE May 3, 2018 dropping to 4 stars as I have bitten through my mouthpiece and they do not appear to sell replacement mouthpieces. I've e-mailed speedo customer service and we'll see if they can provide a replacement mouthpiece - I'll update with how they're customer service is. I'm still swimming with it . . . but the mouthpiece needs replaced. UPDATE May 9, 2018 After multiple e-mails with speedo I am unable to get a replacement mouthpiece. It is not under warranty (I'm OK with that). Portions of one of their e-mails states, "Unfortunately, replacement mouthpieces are not available as the unit is produced as a whole unit with no extra pieces" and "May I suggest looking at your local swim shop or scuba shop for alternate replacement mouthpiece alternatives." Obviously someone somewhere manufactures pieces so I should be able to buy a mouthpiece. Looking at swim/scuba shops for "replacement mouthpiece alternatives" - really Speedo???? I live in a rural area where there are no such shops. I think it's environmentally unfriendly to not make mouthpieces available. For lack of ability to obtain/purchase another mouthpiece, environmentally unfriendly company (as it appears to me), and what I consider poor customer service I'm dropping my rating to a 3 star. I asked about the plastic to see if the rest of the unit can be recycled and was advised to "recycle as you see fit". Frustrated that I'm going to need to buy a new snorkel.
