Doesn't slip and slide.
I really like the rug. Especially the fact that it doesn't slip or slide on the floor. It doesn't move until you move it. But honestly I was under the impression that once you stepped on it (from outside) the water or dirt would not transfer to your floor. But that isn't the case. Could have been a totally different ad I seen. Although it does say dirt blocker. But other than that, (my mistake.) It is a great door mat. I would recommend it. Plus it has color options for your decor. Another plus

Great for outside entry door
We have a lot of dust because of new home construction in area and this rug is great at removing that before I enter my wood floor.

Cat proof
Reasons for purchase: color (red - fits farmhouse look); lays flat (heavy enough); and it is basically cat-proof (multiple cat household). My cats cannot pull the threads, nor ruin the shape. They do not gnaw on it. It is also easily cleaned - does not get sucked up into the vacuum (because it lays so evenly. Good purchase!

Slide door / Patio
Does what it claims to do! We have placed this mat inside our apartment, right at the slide-door/outdoor patio. We often go out that way for food deliveries snd groceries - lots of soil and what not in our space. This mat helps keep all that stuff from fully coming inside. Great grip, catches anything when shoes are wiped.Definitely will get another one for outside.

Not ultra-absorbent but decent
The mat smells strongly of chemicals when you first get it but this goes away quickly. It's not as absorbent as I would have liked, but it's certainly not bad. It's durable and comfortable under foot.
