AKG Lyra - 2021 TEC Award Winner (Microphone)
I wanted a USB microphone for online classes for the simplicity of setup. I compared a number of microphones (both cheaper options as well as those costing twice as much as the Lyra). The deciding factors for me were price, build quality and sound reproduction. As a complete novice in audio recording technology, I had to start at the beginning when doing my research - reading up on what constitutes a good mic and watching reviews on YouTube for the good ones out there. The reasons I settled for the AKG Lyra are:1. It was awarded the 2021 TEC Award (microphone category). When I say this microphone is good, don't take my word for it, just see which microphone is regarded as the best by the experts. How many other microphones in this price range can boast of being the 'best microphone'?2. It has a four-capsule condenser microphone array. The new Blue Yeti X also has it but costs a lot more.3. Price. There are no other microphones at this price range that can compete with the Lyra in terms of specs & performance.I have been using it for the past few days for online classes/recording lectures and I've been quite happy with the audio quality. The different cardioid patterns work as advertised. I find the design to be also good although this is quite subjective. The only nitpick I have (why I'm not giving it five stars) is the microphone has some parts which are made of plastic, but overall, it's an excellent package.

Great quality Microphone at an affordable price.
First of all, I disagree with some the negative reviews given here. I would like to give a genuine review. I bought AKG lyra mainly for podcasting as well as recording.I pre-ordered the microphone and got it delivered on June 8th. I've been using it for different purposes since then. I can promise that it is a great quality microphone. Its worth every penny you spent for it. If you learn to adjust the gain control you will get crystal clear voice even in reasonably noicy atmosphere. I've tried recording it with Nuendo and Abelton live softwares and its results are impressive. I use it for zoom webinars and my friends say that it gives a clear sound. You can easily mount it on a normal microphone stand or a boom scissor arm stand. I use it on boom scissor arm stand a d I love it. You can easily connect it to Mobile, laptop or iPad. Though it's body is made of plastic, the stand is made of metal and according to my opinion that doesn't affect us in any ways. If any of you are looking for a budget microphone with an assured quality and performance you can surely go for it without hesitation. We are using AKG codeless microphones for few years in our church, with that experience I can tell you that AKG keeps the sound quality, durability and their standard even in their least priced models. Before I purchased it I went through a lot of international reviews and comparisons. All the professional guys gave good positive comments on AKG lyra. Compared with several others brands and features I found itbetter and affordable. I am glad about my choice.

A tank of a microphone!
This AKG Ara is a good choice and here is why!1) Solid build quality like a tank. I even dropped it once from my table, not a single scratch. Everything is metal except the control knobs.2) Good balance sound for beginners, unlike other USB mics at this price range.3) USB C connection along with a 3.5mm jack to monitor your input that has no static noise problem.4) Mute indicator along with control knobs. The only con is that it picks up boom arm noise in cardioid/front mode, but when you switch to Bidirectional/front & back mode it completely mutes it, which should have been the opposite. It's a pretty good mic for me. Although I am not a professional, I have seen many voice actor's reviews, and after using it, I'm pretty confident about my statement. You can buy it you won't be disappointed.

AKG Never Disappoints... ❤
At First I was skeptical about it's sound.... But after testing it... I must say that it is such a great and value for money product for beginners... I used it for recording vocals for my song and it's vocal texture is so satisfying ❤... Vocal are so crisp and warm. BUT WATCH OUT the GAIN knob..... GAIN knob is highly -highly sensitive... You need to master it...to get full out of this mic... Coz if you'll give too much gain it will capture lot more surrounding sound than your voice...... I usually set gain knob upto or a little less than 20%....it gives me a perfect balance and mic only focuses on your voice..... I have even marked my gain settings on the mic.... So that I could get reference. I even had uploaded the gain settings for this microphone check out the images.

My iPhone 🎤 microphone efficiency is far better than this microphone.
It is general microphone, but I should accept the built quality is very good .If you connect to phone is doesn’t show any sign of existence.Noise reduction is not possible.
