A grand adventure
The cover art got my attention for this game. I looked it up and saw all of the great reviews from the many players including the Dice Tower review. I play this game solo because it is definitely a long game. I estimate to fully complete the campaign you are looking at around 60 hours or so. It is narrative driven and when you complete a challenge you are referred to a script in the included script book. The directions come with a quick tutorial guide that walks you through a scenario that must be played to begin the game. The tutorial made the rules clear and the way of exploration and combat easy to learn. I love how the story changes based off of your decisions you make throughout the game. I have a ton of time in this game because I love to explore every area on each map. There are several possible endings based on your decisions and locations that you visited. Replay value is quite high. This game is a table hog, though. You have to have a lot of room to accommodate the many character boards and cards decks. Not to mention the ship board and atlas. I play at the dining room table, so thankfully, the game comes with a very easy save system allowing friends to jump on at any time or leave at any time. The rules overwhelmed me at first, but once I played the quick tutorial I found the rules were easy to follow and flowed with the theme. Anyone who enjoys a good adventure tale with sea hazards and exploration on various continents, this game is definitely for you.

Time investment
This game is great, but yiu can't play it like Monopoly. You need to devote a whole evening going over the rules with your players before you can expect to have a good session.

The Best Game I've Ever Played
This game is incredible. The depth of the writing and the game mechanics, for me, is unmatched. I've played solo all the way up to four players, and while every iteration is different in terms of how the game 'feels,' it never felt dry. The stories in the game are written with wit, humor, and surprising depth; and after multiple campaigns, I've learned how going in multiple directions within the Wandering Sea can somehow still lead you back to old friends, both those in the game and that you play with. The sequel comes out soon, and I can't wait to return to the Wandering Sea there too!

Great game!
I bought this to play solo and so far have had a blast! It seems like a heavy game to learn but the mechanics are fairly easy once you've played a few turns. Lots of replayability! My only complaint is that it's a table hog, so unless you have somewhere you can keep it, tearing down and set up might be discouraging.

This is the best board game I've ever played
If you like board games, it's definitely worth playing, I played first time with my friend after I got it (we played it for 13 hours). The story is great and logical, I thought the combat would be boring, but after the first fight, I think it's the best combat mode I've ever played. The manual is not short and contains a lot of content, but the process is not complicated.

Great Cooperative Choose Your Own Adventure Style Board Game
This game is great for those looking to play a mix of choose your own adventure style game mixed with resource/risk reward management board game. I've only played with 2, but the scaling looks good on 1-4 people which is nice for a cooperative experience. It is relatively easy to get the flow of, first few turns you'll be heavily consulting the guide but for the variety of options and steps, it isn't dauntingly complex to learn. I would highly recommend if you're looking for something cooperative to play for the story/choice aspect.
