Pot decent quality but thermometer melted cover broke with FIRST USE
1) Decent product built quality for the pot. The cheapest pots don't seem to be stainless steel2) However, for a pot with a built in thermometer, you'd think they'd make the cover glass vs plastic. It started bubbling up within 5 minutes of use (melted quickly before the oil got to frying temp). For the price, I figured I could live with this cosmetic damage BUT after the oil cooled, thermometer broke b/c it never showed a temp below 120C. I tried using it again and the thermometer never budged. For this, it had to go back.3) there weren't any english instructions at all.

Probably a better idea to just bite the bullet and buy a real deep fryer
This deep fryer works, that's about all I can say. It's not super easy to clean, it smells up the place, and you have to know exactly what stove-top burner temperature to use to get the right oil temp. If you only want to very occasionally make very small portions, I recommend it. But, if you were planning on any larger portions, and plan to use it often, I would spring for one of the odor-free ones with temperature control.

Love this fryer
I love this mini fryer. First...the thermostat is built in so there’s no messing with something extra. Second, it’s small enough that you’re not heating up gallons of oil on the stove. Third, clean up is simple. The pan has a spout so it’s easy to pour into another container. I’ve only used it twice so far but it’s SO much more convenient than a fryer or frying in a Dutch oven

Perfect fryer
Love this fryer! We have fried shrimp, fish, and chicken - perfectly golden brown each time. This has made frying so much easier, including clean-up. The covers doubles as an excess oil drainer, making fried foods less greasy when transferring to plates. So happy with this purchase.

Not what I expected
Product is much smaller than I expected. Takes forever for the oil to come to temperature. Opening is very small for retrieving cooked foods.

Great small fryer
This pan is perfect for small batches of fried food. Please be aware that the thermometer is marked in C, not F.

Very nice
I really like how useful it was and how little mess it made because of having a lit. It was significantly smaller that what I expected but I think it’s still was a nice purchase. Perfect for small apartments
