For years living in Southern California near the beach we put up with the relentless/annoying presence of ants in the kitchen. My sister-in-law solved her troublesome ant problem (and assorted other minor invading creatures ... don't look too closely at your flour) by storing her dry goods (cereal, flour, sugar, etc.) in plastic containers strategically placed on top of her refrigerator. In our new home ants have continued to be a problem in the kitchen. So we decided to order this four pack of Food Storage Containers. They arrived safely. Like some reviewers have mentioned, the four containers were a bit difficult to pull apart, but we prevailed.Initially the lids were hard to get latched, but that has not continued to be a problem. Cereal had been a favorite menu item for the marauding armies of ants … so we put our cereal in the containers … and voilà! Nary an ant has since ventured into our cereal cabinet.The container size is perfect by holding a full box of cereal. We use the containers every day. They have remained air tight and keep the cereal fresh. It is a little hard to get larger flake cereal, such as Total, to pour out, but by gently shaking the container the cereal flow is fine.If we were to use the provided labels we would have lost the cereal's “use by” date. So instead, we removed the top flap off the cereal box, and display it in front of the container as shown in the pictures. This has worked well. We are very pleased with these containers. They are exactly what we need.The construction and quality seem excellent, and we anticipate that the containers will last for years to come.Yes, we would recommend these Food Storage Containers to friends and family … and we would purchase these containers again should the need arise. Two thumbs up.

I am very happy with the design and quality of the containers. I am able to store 5lbs of rice, sugar, flour etc. per container and it is comforting to know that the tight seal will keep the contents fresh for a long time. I purchased the 4-container bundle and the price was very good! I will be purchasing more.

nice solid container they are stackable as well but you can always just line the up next to each other because their nice and slim as well. easy opening tops but also keep a nice tight seal and keep the food fresh.

Large packages of bulk cereal saves money but can get stale when left in those giant economy boxes or bags. These containers store the cereal safely and dispenses easily and take up about the same amount of space as the original box. What is not to like?Did not give five stars as the question of durability is open. They seal nice and tight but do rely on rubber gaskets that seem to easily fall out. I wonder if I will end up losing these when washing or, if they wear out, how hard will it be to find replacements (these are very large o-rings, basically). Otherwise, they seem great!

I waited before reviewing to give these containers a real trial...1. Go through dishwasher and come out perfect!2. Easily fits a standard sized box of cereal3. Everything stays fresh, definitely airtight4. Great design, easy to fill, easy to dispense5. Comfortable to hold even for smaller adult hands (or larger kids' hands)Overall, I plan on rearranging my pantry and I will definitely be getting more of these containers.

These containers are very sturdy! I bought them to keep cereal and they hold the contents of a large box.

Bought these for my daughter and she loves them. Easy to use and she said they are good quality. They save her space and they look great keeping her pantry organized. Highly recommend.
