Grill is 6 inches narrower and2 inches shallower than advertised even if you add the gas regulator it's still only 22 inches long . no truth in advertising . gas regulator is set to high . on low temperature got to over 780 degrees in a flash .shut it down before it reached max temp of 800 degrees . wish I had bought the magma .at least they are closer to actual size. Cooking surface is 154 inches unless you count the warming shelf then you get196 inches NOT 216 AS ADVERTISED !! Company should be sued for lying .just my opinion

When I received the grill I lit it and turned the regulator halfway. Then the temp gauge went to 100 deg. Then 200 then 300. I turned it to the lowest setting. And then it went to 400 degress .Then 500. Then 600 degress in a very short time. I was not able to control the temp. I read a review that told me to take the label off of the regulator knob and there is a set screw. I turned it all the way counter clockwise to reduce the propane amount and lower the temp . There was no change in the temp. I tried to contact the seller they are closed untill the end of april. And no one to talk to. Just a message. I left a detailed message about my problem with the grill and ask to be contacted. NO RETURNED CALL OR EMAIL. DO NOT BUY THIS GRILL. THE GRILL TEMP IS UNCONTROLLABLE AND NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. !!!!!

The grill is made of good quality.My only issue is that it is VERY EASY TO BURN FOOD.The temperature runs extremely HOT on this grill. My buddy has the same grill and he also has the same issue (wish I would have known that info before buying this model) As per the temperature gauge that is part of the top lid; 500 degrees is the minimum temp that I have been able to get this grill to operate at, even when it is on the lowest possible setting. I wish that the grill had the ability, or to was able run a bit cooler so that the food doesn't char/burn so easily. So for now, I keep the lid open and just flip things a lot more often :-)Other than that temperature issue, the grill works very well.

As other reviewers stated the control valve was not adjusted from the factory. Peel the sticker off and turn the small adjusting screw out with the appropriate allen wrench. Relight and make adjustments as needed. I have found that this grill needs to be placed out of the wind to keep the temperature constant and then it will give you good results. It heats up very quickly saving propane which is nice and cools fairly quickly as well so you can place it back in the storage bag. If it was a high quality and thick stainless grill the wait times would be much longer, but for the price point this grill works pretty good.

We did a ton of research before buying this BBQ and glad we did! This bad boy heats and cooks quick! Easy to store in the bag (purchased separately) and is very sturdy. Our model holds a good amount of dogs or hamburgers which is convenient. The negative for this would be that you can’t keep it at a steady temp very easy. This means dogs and burgers work well but something like steaks may not be as easily cooked. All in all I would highly recommend to others looking for a BBQ for their boat.
