Brabantia Sort & Go Waste Bin 12L (Fir Green), Space-Efficient Plastic Recycle Container with Handle, Removable and Stay-Open Lid, Easy to Clean Kitchen Bin without Nooks and Rims

This Brabantia bin is a simple, good quality and robust design.I haven't got room for a large bin in my kitchen but this one is a good compromise being a reasonable size that fits on the kitchen counter. I use mine for general kitchen waste but it would also work well as a recycling bin.The bin has a decent carrying handle and well-fitting hinged lid. It is designed to work best with Brabantia's own brand of bin liners and although those are more expensive than supermarket brands, they are definitely great quality. These are strong, have a tie handle, fit snuggly and give the bin a tidy appearance.The bin keeps pretty clean when using the matching bin liners but is also easy to wash and dry if needed. The liners can be got at a reasonable price if you buy in bulk but you can use supermarket brands instead albeit with some loss of quality.This bin is good quality and well-suited to my needs. It's not the cheapest price but it has lasted four years so far with no signs of wear and tear.I'm pleased with this purchase.

As with all Brabantia products, the quality is excellent. This 6L small recycling bin is perfect for sitting on my kitchen worktop, with its stay-open lid and convenient carry handle making it easy to use and move around. It’s compact and practical. Even the colour is lovely. My only negative point is that the bags for this product are quite expensive, especially since you’ll be replacing them regularly when using the bin for food waste.

Nice colour and good quality product. Washes and dries well. This size is quite compact so we empty quite frequently in a 2 person household, but the next size up takes up too much space on the worktop as it is long front to back rather than wide. A size in between would have been perfect but they don’t make one currently

Well made, neat and robust. Fits easily on a fridge shelf without taking up too much room which is useful if the weather is very hot as it's more hygienic to keep food remains cool. I.e. I don't want leftovers to grow maggots in very hot temperatures.

Bought this composter as I wanted to upsize our current bin. we wanted something that was easy to clean, without the extra annoyance of buying add-ons like filters. This bin does not disappoint. It fits very nicely on our windowsill in the kitchen. Im content with using my cheap supermarket brand composting bags, but if you are particular about fitting bags without ripping the edge, you either need to invest in the Brabantia branded ones or go without.

Fabulous, does the job with food waste

Perfect for what we’re after! Great size for under the sink, lovely colour and the complimentary bags are a nice touch and fit just right. We also bought the matching food caddy and my only feedback would be that a biodegradable size compatible bag would be preferred as then it can go straight into the compost bin.

An excellent bin and just what I wanted. However, I have rated it as only 4 star because the Brabantia PerfectFit bin liners that are made to fit this bin are ridiculously overpriced. The Amazon price for this bin has risen from £17 to £21.47 since I bought it. Although not a pedal operated bin (which I did not want, as I do not have it on the floor), the lid is very easy to open and as it opens to just over vertical, it stays up when opened. I use it for fruit & vegetable peelings and the PerfectFit bin liner stays in position when the bin is emptied (unlike my old bin, which used generic bin liners, that were no a perfect fit and the bin liner would fall out and invert itself when emptied, so very messy), so it is easy and not too messy to empty.
