The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5, was because the foam packaging fell apart upon opening it, and the lower part of the cane was bent, and it won’t go straight again.

This Kurt Adler product is overall fine except for one detail. The ribbon candy that is supposed to be on his staff shows as being striped. The one we received is striped put the stripes are folded up on the inside and it can’t be turned in any way so that you could see the stripes the outside of the ribbon candy shows no stripes.

This arrived with most of the peppermints unglued. I just glued them back on and the ribbon candy is an actual piece of ribbon so I had to fluff that. My opinion is That it’s just ok - I could do better which I did when I ordered Kurt Adler’s Hollywood ice cream nutcracker and the Kurt Adler Hollywood wine hat nutcracker. These 2 pieces sparkle and have a wow factor unlike this one.

My kid has a nutcracker collection and we have many kurt adler nutcrackers. This one didn't impress me. While it's still cute, it seems like it is on par with a $20 nutcracker from hobby lobby or other craft store. Other hollywood nutcrackers that we have purchased in the past were really well done. This one not so much. I had to send the first one back due to a loose base and candy that had already fallen off the hat. Not sure that I will continue to buy from this line in the future.

I'm glad I opened the box to check it out as soon as it arrived. Some of the little peppermint candy pieces on the white tree on the the top of the hat had fallen off. That could have easily been fixed with little hot glue, however instead of it being a cute white tree-like thing on the top of the hat, it looks more like an old nasty yellow bottle brush. Also, the ribbon candy fabric was smooshed and no longer in a ribbon shape.
