🎨 Sound Meets Style: Where Acoustics and Aesthetics Collide!
The UMIACOUSTICSArt Acoustic Panels are a set of three decorative sound-absorbing wall panels measuring 48" x 24" x 0.4". With an impressive NRC rating of 0.95, these panels effectively reduce noise and reverberation, making them ideal for home studios, theaters, and living spaces. Made from eco-friendly, flame-retardant polyester fiber, they are easy to install and customizable to fit any decor.

Nice quality panels
Bought these to help drown out the neighbors who live in the apartment next door. I was surprised to find these so aesthetically pleasing and easy to mount. They’re very light weight and you only need command strips to mount to sheetrock (you’ll need gorilla glue for extra adhesion to panel). Function wise, they do muffle the noise to a tolerable level but aren’t going to soundproof if that is what you’re looking for. Highly recommend.

Affordable acoustic panels and they look great!
I built a recording studio for our podcast and the panels work great and look great! Even without 100% surface coverage, there is little to no reverberation in the room now - you can literally hear the difference just walking into the space. I hung the panels coated drywall screws because I didn't want to deal with tape failing on me.

Looks great, easy to work with, but falls short on NRC claims
Firstly, these look great. They look the best if you use them for an entire wall imho rather than simply sticking them in random places on a wall or ceiling. With a sharp razor blade they are also very easy to cut so that you can trim them around edges of trim/lighting/outlets/switches/etc. They are more rigid than I imagined they would be, but that is a good thing imo in helping them to be hung. I did not try and hang these to the wall with double-sided tape; I used drywall screws to hang them (directly drilled into drywall - not utilizing studs) and they hang perfectly. Not only do they look super-chic, they do reduce echo flutter/reverb decay time within a room. I used these on the backwall of my mixing and mastering room as an accent wall that does provide some absorption properties.-HOWEVER-I do not fully believe the test report that UMIACOUSTICS provided me concerning NRC when I emailed them directly. I feel that I am quite proficient in understanding these reports as I've been working with studio acoustics for nearly 20 years (as a non-professional Acoustician; but someone who knows their fair share). UMIACOUSTICS provided a report that claims .80 NRC across the frequency range (100hz - 5000hz). It was easy for me to see that this report was tainted as it claimed that these 1/2 inch panels would absorb 40% of 200hz; something that even thicker insulation (such as 3 inch) struggles to do well. The test report also claims nearly 100% absorption from 630hz to 1250hz; also not true in real-world performance. A quick placing of a single panel directly against a single speaker with no air gap playing these specific test tones did not lead to anywhere near full absorption at the stated frequencies. I didn't conduct a test to measure how much a single panel reduced the test tone in dB; however, it was not nearly the amount claimed by UMIACOUSTICS (I would say, perhaps, within the 600-3000hz range that there was a 25-30% reduction, 500hz to 200hz perhaps 10% reduction, and below 200 absolutely zero reduction by my listening experience). I would say the actual NRC rating would honestly fall somewhere into the .20-.30 rating, with the higher frequencies perhaps being absorbed at .40 NRC at most). So, should you buy these?Definitely not if you are thinking that these 1/2 panels will meet the performance that UMIACOUSTICS is claiming and that is your only concern. But definitely buy them if you are looking for something that will reduce echo flutter and reverb times in your room that is easy to work with and honestly, looks great. For the price, they could get expensive to cover a whole wall, but, better materials and thicker full-range absorption panels with higher NRC also cost a lot more than these. These are fairly affordable imho, and, while not meeting the performance they claim (by at least half the amount imo), they do still provide benefits for mid and high frequency absorption. In my specific case, these worked well as I already have a very well-treated studio space with plenty of 3' and 6' absorption panels in the critical locations; and using the UMIACOUSTIC panels in non-critical locations where I had bare-walls worked quite well.

Sound deadening wall paper
Delaying putting up wall paper in my son’s room ended up being perfect. It gave him time to find this wall covering. It’s amazing. It looks stylish but has the added benefit of muffling the sound of his older brother playing video games in the next room until late at night.

Worked well in garage
The cathedral ceiling in my new garage was an echo chamber until I put 18 of these on the walls. Problem solved!!

Ease of use.
These are very easy to install. I used double sided adhesive, which has held well even on the ceiling. The stiffness and structure of the panels makes them very easy to work with. They are not the thickest or densest panels you can get, but ease of installation was a priority for me, and these fit the bill. In conjunction with some bass traps in the corners, they have improved my room's acoustics for recording dialog.

Not acceptable
I was excited to add these to my classroom to dampen noise. I researched the options endlessly. When this arrived the very thin box was falling apart. Every single corner of the box was broken and the plastic ripped, exposing the corners. The corners are black, covered in dirt and dented in. I can’t put these anywhere without covering them, which defeats their purpose. I have tried to clean them with dawn, magic eraser, a toothbrush and cleaning solution. It only looks worse. They are disgusting. I don’t have a big budget for my classroom. I’m disappointed. I don’t even know how I’d send it back without the box.

Eventually made it right
These don’t do much to absorb sound and are difficult to cut if you need to adjust the size. Edit: Customer service reached out and eventually resolved the issue

Ware wurde geliefert. Verpackung leicht beschädigt
An den Bilder kann man sehen das die Ecken beschädigt sind. Dachte das es beim montieren die Ecke sich von alleine repariert. Leider hat das nicht geplappt.

OK Sound Absorption. Mounting Issues
EDIT - Mounting Issues continue - the below mounting suggestion failed after a period of time. For mounting issues we found the best option was to affix tape (duck/gorilla) to the back with extra adhesive (ie carpet spray/liquid superglue) between the sticky side of the tape and the sound panel THEN use 3M mounting strips between the smooth tape and the wall.HOWEVER it proved to be nearly impossible to mount multiple panels to a wall and have no seam work hide. We spent over 10 hrs doing one wall (albeit large wall) and still there are visible seams (some due to the panels coming with damaged corners that aren't able to be fixed).Does the sound dampening panel work? somewhat. Does it look the same as what the company has advertised? Does not appear to be when done in large applications.

Great Product ... exceeded my expectations
Product is very well made and easy to cut and install. Once in place it looks great on the wall.I purchased the product to cover the walls around my washer and dryer to mute the sound. The washer and dryer are not yet in place so I can't comment on the sound muting.
