Definitely not salty like Adolf's meat tenderizer. It does well with tenderizing meat.

I bought this because I loved it in the small bottles that I used to be able to buy in the stores. This, however, seems much hotter in flavor. Flavor is still good, but disappointed in the heat level, so I use less in my soups and stews.

The "seasoned" meat tenderizers are all you can find in our local stores, and they are mostly salt. We find UN-seasoned meat tenderizers here. Thinking I was buying pure tenderizer without the salt I ordered this one. Guess what. It's mostly salt! OK, you win. My bad! I use it anyhow, but I thoroughly rinse the salt out of the meat before cooking. Hey, it's not bad at all after doing that, and it really tenderizes.

Super value for the money. You’re getting 3-4 times the amount. It’s non flavored which we love.

I use this when smoking meats and making homemade hot links. Hard to find in stores.

I think perhaps this Barbecue Seasoning container was filled with chili powder. Burned my tongue, tore up our stomachs. I will be using it as chili powder from now on.
