My cat developed steroid-induced diabetes when we were trying to treat her IBD with pred (which was a last-ditch effort to get her chronic IBD under control). While the pred did wonders to clear up her IBD, it pushed her glucose numbers over the edge. We tried at first just tapering her off the pred, hoping that her glucose numbers would resolve once the pred was no longer present in her system; unfortunately, while the pred stabilized her IBD, her glucose did not recover in a timely manner, resulting in diabetes and neuropathy in her hind legs. I've been using Zobaline to help combat my cat's diabetic neuropathy for roughly 3 months. At her lowest, she was walking down on her hocks, would tire easily when walking (she'd take constant breaks just to walk across the house), stopped using the litter box, and couldn't make jumps as low as one foot. I read about Methyl-B12's proposed effects on reversing diabetic neuropathy and figured it couldn't hurt to try. I was desperate and heartbroken that my little girl was having such a tough time. During this time we were also working with the vet to get my cat's glucose under control (she was in the high 200s to mid 300s), including using Purina's DM Dietetic Management food and beginning insulin therapy at one unit twice a day along with a portion-controlled feeding schedule. I crush one tablet over her dry food in the mornings each day. She doesn't seem to notice or mind the taste. Over the last couple of months, she's started to walk on her toes again, and can make jumps around 3 feet (she still can't jump up to standard counter top height but now she at least tries to make those jumps). She's using her litter box, will RUN when it's time to eat or play, and no longer needs to stop and take constant breaks when walking. Her glucose is also under control, and she's no longer on insulin (she's still eating a portioned diet of the DM Dietetic Management food). I didn't see results overnight--in fact, after a month with very little improvement, I almost gave up. Then one day about a month ago, she was back on her toes, and has made steady improvement since. While I can't say for sure if the Zobaline is helping combat her neuropathy or if it's because we got her glucose under control quickly enough to put her diabetes into remission, I do know that so long as I continue to see improvements in my cat, I'll continue to crush a Zobaline over her food each morning.Update 7/2018: At the time of my review, my cat had regained the ability to jump on lower surfaces, but hadn’t regained the ability to jump on higher surfaces again. I’m happy to say that she’s back to full mobility again! After about 4 months on Zobaline, we found her on the bathroom counter, demanding water from the faucet....and she hadn’t let up since. This stuff truly works!

We are optimistic that Iggy, our diabetic cat, who is a large yellow tabby with the sweetest disposition ever, that we rescued 6 years ago, and Iggy has been helped by this brand and of course, we are elated! We are so very grateful. My only complaint is that this is expensive. However we will continue to give Iggy one per day. He is walking better and the other day, he went up and down two flights of stairs (slowly but that's OK) in our house, on his own, without prompting. Iggy is less wobbly. He now seems more willing to play and be a somewhat more energetic kitty. He is also taking 3 doses of insulin 2x a day (recommended by our vet in NYC). We were upset when Iggy got his diagnosis of diabetes. We now think that he will be OK - we are diligent in administering the insulin every 12 hours and we only feed him then. We only let him eat canned food 2x a day. We pamper him - if he does not like the food, we will try to feed him something else - but all of it is grain-free (Iggy eats a variety of Fancy Feast pate). After the insulin and when he eats, we will give him some treats. We add warm water to all his food so that he gets enough water. We also add a Miralax-type product to his food so that he poops like he is supposed to. We also give him a ton of love. He is a family member.If your cat has diabetes, be diligent and follow what your vet says. It's all about controlling blood sugars.This supplement should be given daily. Do not worry if you do not notice a change right away. It could take a month. It could take two months. The point is that you should give it to your cat. Eventually, it should improve the mobility of your cat. It certainly did with Iggy and it took over two months. If your kitty gets better, make sure that you continue to give this to him or her. It is, in my opinion, close to something miraculous. Before we started giving Iggy this, he was walking like he went to a bar a had a few too many beers. He is much better now. I don’t often write reviews but I came on here to maybe help someone that has had similar problems and is trying to help their cat. I rescued two kittens when they were just a few months old. One of them was the runt of the litter. She was too small to even get fixed until after I had her and she gained enough weight. Since the moment we had her, she had diarrhea. We changed her diet a million times. I took her to the vet a million times. I spend countless dollars trying to fix the diarrhea. I probably tried 15 brands of special dry foods and 15 different wet. I took out wet. She had antibiotics, she had millions of stool studies. We did probiotics. I did 3 rounds of B12 shots. That was actually one point when I noticed a difference. She had done 2 rounds of B12 and turned a corner for maybe 2 months until she was back to diarrhea again. Her stool was like a mucous cow pie and smelled terrible. She was going multiple times a day and she was losing weight. I had taken her to the vet a final time begging for some help. The next step was another billion dollar workup with possibly no results. I decided talked to multiple people and someone had recommended this to me. It took a month to work but I kept doing it daily and waited. I saw multiple reviews that said the same thing that it takes weeks to work. Just stay with it if you have a cat with a similar story. She now looks well. She is only going the bathroom once a day and it looks normal. It was over a year and a half of trying to get her better. I have 4 children and this was so time consuming trying to care for her and cleanup the litter box all of the time. She is now doing so well and I am so thankful that I found this product. I highly recommend this (again I never write reviews).
