Call of Duty: Ghosts (PS4)

I have never owned a Call of Duty game before. This game focuses on Multiplayer online, but has a single player campaign too and there's even extinction mode which is meant to be new.The single player campaign has 18 unique levels, you actually are for example controlling a dog the next, using stealth the next, then you're underwater the next, in space then protecting a ship on a massive sale. The single player is impressive and very unique for a FPS, though would last only over 5 hours if you played through it at once.The online multiplayer is really great, there are different gamemodes and this is the most popular online game on the PS4 right now, the game is worth it for the time you'll spend in online gamemodes. There is even squads, where you train your (AI) squad and then put it up against other peoples squads, great for people new to the game.Extinction is a Co-op "destroy the alien's hives" kinda thing, it can be hard and is really fun with other people.

Thought I would give this a go despite already owning the pc version. I have always been a pc fanboy and have a pretty high spec pc built specifically for gaming but more recently have noticed the price of the ps4 and the games are coming down in price. All I want to do is pop the game disc in and be playing within a minute or two, it took nearly an hour to install the 4 disc pc version yesterday and then it wanted updating etc.....it's not a total deal breaker but today I received my copy of this game on ps4, in went the disc, took around 30 seconds to partially load and update and within the minute I was playing the game and not only that visually I would say it's on a par or even better than the pc version. I used the 2D to 3D conversion app on my Samsung 3D tv and the game looks brill and plays as smooth as anything. Very pleased , great game too.

I've played Call of Duty since the release of Call of Duty classic so I think it would be fair to say that I enjoy the Call of Duty series. I've played it online since CoD 4 so I've seen it go through it's changes; both good and bad.Pros: Maps are well sized. I feel they are the right size for a game this fast paced.Objectives are well placed on the map to give each team a fair chance.The mal interaction and levolution is a really nice integration to the CoD series and one I hope will stick around. Opening doors, changing parts of the map are all new features of pure genius.The customisation whether it be your character or your class setup spans wide so there is plenty to play around with.The campaign is enjoyable yet challenging on higher difficulties, more so than previous codes. The intersction is fantastic and the story line is entertaining.The extinction game mode is fun, mixing the survival portion of zombies with objectives and an end goal of not just surviving, but escaping.Cons:When spawning on certain maps, especially when playing objective game modes like domination, the spawns can feel a bit too far pushed back.On PlayStation 4, me and my friend are yet to come across any real challenge. We are both average players but were sitting on over a 50 win streak. The people that play make me and him look like we should be professional players or something. But this and try and beat us.

Infinity Ward have almost created a masterpiece with Ghosts I love it.The map design is great if you give them a little time to learn. The weapons all feel good and they are all different in handling and sound, this is something Treyarch and Sledgehammer have both messed up on their games. The perk system is brilliant you can really create some great classes. Yes it is true that this is a bit slower in pace than other titles in the series but it is better for it in my opinion. This is more of a thinking mans or woman's cod multiplayer. This is what cod multiplayer should be like you can play it whatever way you like aggressive, camper run n gun (on the smaller maps anyway). The graphics are spot on the maps feel and look war torn and dark unlike that turd of game that should not have the name Call of Duty that came out this week advanced warfare in that all the maps any but war torn or dark. So I give the multiplayer 9/10. Story mode although entertaining does not set the world on fire its cod at the end of the day.7/10. The Extinction mode is well worth a bash as well pretty intense stuff 8/10. So keep up the good work Infinity Ward don't follow those other studio's and turn cod into a joke keep it real. Look forward to Ghosts 2 and 3

The spawn system is what put Ghosts down for me. Spawning at completely random positions when playing Domination instead of near your team flag gets you killed in less than a second, sometimes before moving.If I had to compare this to all other Call of Duty games I've played (Black Ops, Black Ops 2, Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty 3), this has to be the worst.
