Stick with the smaller gas cannisters for trouble free use!
Amazing piece of kit, I used one at a riverside retreat my wife and I went to, I've always been against gas BBQ's but this one just won me over with it's simplicity, speed to cook food, the taste and quality of the cooked meat and the ease to clean afterwards.

Excellent bit of kit !
Purchased this for our caravan after my brother brought his for a beach bbq last year and we were impressedExcellent. We have had 2 small bbq’s so far this week and it cooks very well.Went on my brothers recommendation as he is a fab cook and excellent on the bbq- saw some reviews and had some reservations about the heat but hubby says this is excellent, easy to use, cooks well and seems easy to clean. Isn’t as heavy as i thought and the food certainly tastes amazing and moist. Can’t wait to try it out on the beach ! We would recommend this to anyone wanting a portable one. We are going to make a trolley for it to sit on at the van so its off the ground.Impressed with the small portable gas canisters as wellSturdy piece of kitEdit …. Adding on May 2024. This has been amazing- cooks so well if you know how to handle it …. This is kept at our caravan - Its so good we are ordering another for home today…. And we have a huge standing outback there- this just cooks so well 🤷♀️

Brilliant! This BBQ breaks the mold of what you expect...
This is brilliant... and has replaced our typical freestanding BBQ! -WHY?Well the actual cooking area is not much smaller than our 3 burner Gas BBQ...It cooks really evenly on the stainless steel griddle (Better than our old BBQ)It works on our big Patio Gas Bottle - but also - on portable gas canisters - so we have used it on picnics and in our Campervan/tent.Its really easy to clean (the stainless steel griddle pops in the dishwasher no problems for deeper cleans!)The short legs on the BBQ allow it to be used on a table, and the heat doesn't transfer below... so we have used it to cook on and then also as an 'outdoor' warmer to keep food hot - with the BBQ on a low heat.We have even cooked PIZZA in the BBQ - and it worked brilliant, with an 'stone baked' type taste! We are well impressed by it..Cons?The only thing that I would critique is that you can't adjust the heat into zones: ie High heat on the left and low heat on the right (This is because it has a single - highly efficient burner ) That said it hasn't stopped us from using this BBQ as our primary choice - as the heat it creates is very adjustable and consistent across the entire grill - so cooking is far more consistent too...Love it :)

Needs Work to tune
Attractive throw in the truck & Go BBQ. Problem as many reviews stated gets far too hot. On the minimum setting reaches 300 c this totally scorches any seasoning off the grill bed. More of a burnt sacrifice than food. Following advice from reviewers I removed the bits to expose the burner and lit with regulator set to minimum, removed the sticker in centre of dial to expose hex drive bolt then inserted alan key and turned anti clockwise until it just supported a flame. Now it is enjoyable to use and can cook a full breakfast. BTW the budget De Buyer 20cm 1mm thick La Lyonnaise pan fits with the lid down to do the fried eggs. IMHO Char-broil have over specified the burner, much too powerful, like setting your car to tick over to stay under the speed limit. The expensive bag that's an extra is fine for that grab & go. I have a 4x4 pick-up and the highest mountain in Portugal on this island so perfect for Tailgating and cooking up in the clouds.Would be 5 star if they fitted a more reserved burner.

Best burgers I have ever had.
OK so easy to clean - for a bbq yes. The size is perfect for bringing bits indoors to clean, but as long as the grill holes are not blocked this is good to go.Throwing on woodchips (no need to soak) directly to the grill also works super well adding flavoured smoke to your food. So far hickory burgers and sausages will become addictive.Currently stuck with using the disposable C500 coleman canisters and get about 4 hours of non stop use from them. Waiting for calor to remove restrictions on getting a green patio gas 5kg.Not had issues with this blowing out as one review had me concerned, used it in breezey winds not full winds though. No issues with the gas regulator so that again is possibly something thats either been fixed or due to a bad batch. For 3 days on the week I use this. It brings an amazing flavour profile to meats that gives an outdoor vibe.Big enough to supply a constant food convoy for 5 people if they all eat in batches :)Also I cannot believe someone complained about the thermometer being squinty. It can be removed to be cleaned and make inside easier to clean and rotates freely until tightened in place.Great BBQ that I am so happy with and a perfect price point. With wood chips you can get that great BBQ taste you might be worried about losing from going for gas. The ultimate for burgers in my opinion.
