I purchased this watch because I was drawn to its open-heart design and the inclusion of a power reserve indicator, a feature not commonly found at this price point. The power reserve is both functional and convenient, allowing me to easily track how much winding the watch needs. For the price, the watch offers excellent value, including a sapphire crystal and a well-crafted dial that looks premium.When I received it, I was impressed by how well it wears on the wrist and the number of compliments it garnered. The included strap is of high quality, adding to the overall positive impression. However, the date indicator is a bit difficult to read due to its small size and awkward placement.Despite this minor drawback, I highly recommend this watch for everyday use and even for more formal occasions. It combines style, functionality, and great features at an affordable price point, making it a solid choice for anyone looking for a versatile timepiece.

This watch is way better than it has any right to be for the price. Sea-gull isn't making much, if any, profit selling these at the price I paid. Obviously, it is a loss leader to generate interest. The dial on this watch is exquisite, and I actually mean that. I don't even know what you would have to pay to get a watch with a better dial. Some of the details are so fine, you need a magnifying glass to fully appreciate them. I've looked and I can't see any QC shortcuts, except for maybe the strap. But something has to give at this price. The case is nicely polished. The dial is so good it is almost unbelievable. The blued hands look great. I've gone back and forth on how much I like the cutout to view the workings of the escapement, but in real life, it is actually very interesting and I'm glad the watch has it.I assumed one of the tradeoffs for the price would be accuracy. I was pleasantly surprised here as well. The watch is accurate to within 10 seconds per day. That's as good as any other entry level automatic movement, and better than most. I have a Swiss made movement that has better accuracy, but that watch sells for four times what this one costs.Sea-gull is not some made up Chinese import brand. They have been in the business for 70 years and they make more mechanical watch movements than any other manufacturer in the world. This is a real watch from a real watch making company. What's the downside? As an American buying a direct-to-consumer watch from a Chinese brand, finding somebody who can work on it when the time comes might be challenging. Challenging, but not impossible. And, as with any other entry level watch, the decision to eventually have the watch serviced or to just buy a new one has to be considered.

The media could not be loaded. First impression of this watch is a beautiful piece with perlage movement, machined guilloché dial, applied markers, polished case and sapphire crystals — characteristics far above its price point. If the Sea-Gull movement’s as good as this watch looks, I’ll be one happy customer; will update review performance after wearing it over time. My only complaint is the faux leather strap, which isn’t the most comfortable and looks cheap. Otherwise, I loved this watch enough to pick up a second one.

I ordered two versions of the four options on Amazon. Amazon delivered two incorrect versions. Both happened to be defective. The first would only move the hands in first and second position stem position(no date set). The second only had one stem position.Sea-Gull tends to be a good brand but this didn't work

It is reliable and affordable, I have a lot different watches made in Switzerland, Japan and Germany. However, this Chinese watch is just made me feel comfortable to wear everyday.

This was a huge disappointment. I'd buy Aragon or Invita over this turd. Either Sea-Gull sucks or Amaon is selling bad copies from China of a cheap Chinese brand-which is laughable. Don't buy this or prepare for a bad watch where you cant set the day and date.....
