The sizing was very confusing since the Unisex sizes differ from the gendered range, and it is important to note that there is no wide fitting- the normal width comes up wide. I was sure I had had a wide fit before and hunted high and low for one, but that turned out not to be the case.These sandals/ flipflops are the most amazing footwear I have ever purchased and I will buy another pair exactly the same once this pair wears out (these were a replacement for my last identical pair). I truly think that there is no summer shoe that is so comfortable, durable and ergonomically healthy than the Birkenstock Gizeh. As someone prone to pronation, the summer months would otherwise be woefully spent in enclosed trainers with innersoles. With these, I was able to traverse hotter climes without causing blisters, collapsed arches or excessively sweaty feet!

Have wanted a pair for ages. They did not disappoint! Fit beautifully, very comfortable and the colour is great. Happy customer

Like the style and brand. However the cost is high.

They are my favorite shoes.Very comfortable and my feet loves them.Mondo size gives you a very accurate lengthwise fit. If you have wide feet you might want to go up 1/2-1 size.A good way to measure your feet is to place the heel of your longest foot against a wall and measure the length(Millimeters or centimeters). Now you have the mondo size which can easily me converted to US, UK or EU size.

I bought these sandals to wear after bunion and curl toe surgery on the big and small toes of my right foot. I have big feet (Women's UK10) and post op swelling meant that nothing I had would fit. Scaring along both toes make footwear very uncomfortable. I spent hours trying to find a unisex slipper that would fit. I LOVE THESE THONGS. When they first arrived, my foot was too swollen to fit and I almost sent them back. Now that the swelling is reducing, I can ware them most of the day.I find them very comfortable and light weight. Great arch support. I'm thinking of getting them in a different colour.

These are the second pair of Birkenstocks I've owned in 6 years. The first ones are still going but wanted a different colour. These seem like good value compared to the high street. Very comfortable sandals, I've trecked in them in the past and use them to walk 40 mins into work with no discomfort and good support.

So how much of this sandal is leather or suede and how much is good old fashioned leatherette? Sorry to dissapoint you guys but it looks like the majority of this product including the straps have not been within a metre of a cow!...I have written to Birkenstock twice and am awaiting a response as follows.......... "Hi! - I have just ordered two pairs of Birkenstock Sandals from Amazon that have not yet arrived ...Birkenstock Ramses Birko-Flor, Style-No. 44701, Unisex Thong Sandals, Dark-Brown & Birkenstock Gizeh Birko-Flor, Style-No. 43751, Unisex Thong Sandals, Mocca Nubuk. On Amazon and in its descriptions and on many other sites it suggests that these sandals are made of leather or Nubuck leather but on looking at you own site it suggests leatherette. Can you please confirm if there are any parts of these sandals that are made of real leather because it was under this pretext and based on the price and description that I purchased these items ....with regards" ..... I will include the response from Birkenstock once recieved!

Just as I'd hoped, great pair of sandals, fitted just like my old ones, and pretty quick delivery too considering they were coming from Germany.All in all really happy, just wish they hadn't shredded my feet after I wore them to tramp around the F1 course in Monaco, guess I'll have to wear them in slowly in future, but that's no reflection on the service from the supplier, just my dodgy feet, and the very hot weather, at least it means I've now been able to afford to buy something in Monaco, a pack of plasters!
