The Ameda flexshield Arreola simulators are amazing! My only regret is I wish I'd found out about them sooner. I've been using them consistently now for about 4 months. I've exclusively bf all 3 of my boys but due to reflux issues I had to pump daily with my 3rd son for the first 4 months. I have very small nipples& found it difficult to find a flange that fit me properly& didn't cause discomfort. these silicone flanges& the way they're designed keeps the majority of my areola stable &mainly just pulls through the nipple. they'd fit me a little bit better if they were just a little bit smaller but the first month or 2 they worked great for stimulation&I got multiple let Downs quite quickly. I also started using the La Vie lactation massager at the same time (I think in conjunction of the two) were helping me achieve multiple letdowns quicker & emptied my breast faster& got more milk out. I think my body got used to them after a couple months or so, they domt stimulate me as much anymore& i dont get as many let downs as I used to but they dont damage my nipples like other flanges & still empty me quicker than standard flanges. (I might try taking a break from them just temporarily &see if that helps, ill update if it does)They're much more comfortable than traditional flanges. I have no complaints except that I wish they did make them in a wider variety of sizes, while these do fit me better than standard plastic flanges, they'd be absolutely perfect if they were just a little bit smaller, (maybe 19 mm). I've used them on the Medela Lactina, the Medela Pump In Style Advance,The Motif Duo& the hygeia Endeare, all the 24mm flanges fit. They work the best with the Hygeia or Lactina, those are both hospital-grade pumps with more power. I felt they worked the least best with the motif Duo& Mesela Pump in Style Advance because they doesn't have quite as much suction power & it does decrease the suction using these. It wasn't issue for me with the Hygeia & the Medela Lactina, I only had to turn it up to about the 3rd setting, not even halfway to full suction power. They probably do fit better on an Ameda flange its not a tight seal& you get a little bit of milk stuck in between the silicone flange& the plastic flange but not very much. In my opinion that outweighs the comfort&the extra milk you get out makes up for it but its still precious gold lost. I also bought pumpin Pals flanges set to see if those would work better at the same time I bought these. For me the Ameda worked better but everybody's Anatomy is different and I know that pumpin Pals is a great company, has helped many mamas & their customer service is top-notch. In conclusion I only wish that Ameda would make these to fit other brands of flanges so that you don't lose suction or get milk caught in between the flanges. Or the other brands of pumps need to step up& make them for their flanges (hint-hint Medela, hygeia, Motif, Spectra, Etc😉) I hope this is helpful to some trying tl making a decision. I bought these after realizing that I needed much smaller than the standard Ameda 25mm flange size. I think that the Medela website gives the best info/drawings about how the pump is supposed to fit the breast and nipple, and I had hoped I could "get by" with the standard size, but after a couple of weeks, realized that if I was going to continue pumping then I needed to buy these. The 21mm size is much much better for me.I was seriously unhappy with the shipping speed of this product (from Healthcheck Systems) -- yes I ordered on a Saturday, but the only options were "standard - free shipping - 3 to 5 business days" or 1- or 2- day expedited shipping for $40 or $60, respectively. Ridiculous cost for something as light as this - especially considering what it is and that you don't know you need it until you really really need it.... and mine took the full 5 days to arrive. Not happy about that.The product itself fits good, works great with my Ameda Purely Yours pump (which Amazon has an awesome price on). I'm not sure about the reviewers that are using with Medela pumps, as the Ameda standard flange is 25mm and the Medela is 24mm or 27mm, could be why those ladies had issues with fit/suction?These make the flanges REALLY HEAVY, with the whole thing assembled, the bottles will not stand up by themselves, however when snapped into the pump base there is no problem with tipping over. I didn't mind the hard plastic flanges, other than the fact that they were too big, but I do think that the softer plastic provides a more comfortable fit. I get really strong suction with these, but again I'm using the Ameda pump they were designed to fit.I don't really care for another piece of stuff to clean each time I clean my pump, but it's worth it for the increased comfort in pumping with these in place, I have actually increased my normal pumping volume from around but less than 2 oz to 2.5-3oz (total) each time I pump since I started using these regularly. My baby is only 1 month old, but will not nurse directly from me.All in all, I wish I'd had these earlier, how much suffering could I have saved myself if I'd had them, but they are hard to find! Couldn't find them baby stores near me so had to order from Amazon, and a non-affiliated vendor at that.

These made suctioning worse. U find it horrible that this company will not let you return if you need to try another size smh!

I have the rented hospital ameda pump and these for perfectly. Although with the insert in, you cannot see if it's working, it's not transparent.

Significantly more comfortable than the standard hard plastic flanges. Personally I found these helped increase my supply simply because of the ease and comfort. They’re gentle but very effective and because they’re silicone they fit to accommodate slight nipple size changes which is very common for postpartum mothers. Highly recommend.

Very good fit, comfortable, and easy to clean!

Pumping was pretty painful with the standard 25mm flange that comes with the Ameda pump, but these flanges make pumping much more comfortable for me. I also have a Medela manual pump and can use this flange with that as well. So glad I decided to purchase!

Freestyle Flex 21mm flanges too big, sucking aereola up and leaving painful white circle. Bought these, put inside 24mm flanges (I used the end of a clean baby spoon to push them as deep as they go into the holes) then made sure to stretch them around the wide part evenly. No pain, aereola not being sucked in, was able to get a let down. I turned the strength up a couple notches on the pump to ensure its not too gentle. Expensive but better than suffering without it since medela has no alternatives.
