Durable, Easy to Clean!
We bought this mat for in our play room to be used with our Nugget couch so if the baby were to tumble off the couch he would land on something soft. We have had spills on this mat and it is so easy to clean we legit were able to use a wipe and a paper towel and handle a sticky juice mess. This mat is incredibly well made, durable and has such a cute design that my kids actually want to play with it! We have done animal parades down these streets and raced cars on them. Oh and it's double sided so you can change up the scenery for your kids, too!! Would definitely recommend for little ones. Totally worth every penny!

Cute and Durable
I looked at a lot of different mats and read a lot of reviews before realizing I was just going to have to take a chance on one. I’m so glad I did! This mat is great! The child side is vibrant and fun! It’s soft enough that I don’t worry about my baby’s head during tummy time. It wipes off easily which is great because my dogs apparently love it too. They will sit as close as they can get to us while still being on the mat. It kind of cracks me up. My husband doesn’t bother putting down a yoga mat for work outs any more. He just uses this one. I love that it’s easy on the knees and bottom when I’m down playing with my girl. The whole family loves the mat. It also stops our little baby swing from scooting around when it’s on the mat. Nothing I’ve set on the mat (including the feet of a solid wood coffee table) has left a mark. The foam bounces back as it should. I’m so glad I got this mat! Definitely worth the money. My negatives do not at all take away from my satisfaction because they are minor and unimportant, but I want to share for you consideration.1. The adult side is okay, but not what I was picturing. There is a texture to the mat that I assume has something to do with the functionality/durability of the foam. I don’t mind this texture on the kid size, but I don’t like it on the adult side. For some reason, my brain reads the texture on the adult side as cheap because I want to compare it to my furniture and rugs. It’s definitely not cheap, but I think I will only ever use the kid size. That being said, having the option to flip it over when company is over or if that’s the look you want in a living area is great. It’s just my brain making unnecessary connections.2. You can’t use it right away. It wanted to curl, so I had to have it curl down for a week before it flattened out. It also has a scent from being in a plastic bag for so long. This scent took about a week to fully dissipate without assistance as well. It isn’t a forever scent. This doesn’t bother me, but I know some people can get frustrated when something isn’t immediately as they had pictured.

Top Quality
This mat is a life saver for our livingroom! The carpet in the kids play area takes a beating with milk and food spills and was getting pretty disgusting. Since it was just that area we decided to delay replacing the carpet until the kids are a little older and just cover the problem in the meantime. :) This adorable waterproof mat was just the ticket. The perfect size and spills are easily wiped up. I'm impressed with the quality and my joints thank me for the cushion every time I sit to build a tower or read a book with one of my kids. It's actually cushy enough that they like to jump on it! Definitely a great purchase. I know there are lots of options out there and this one is a pricier one but I have no regrets!

Very nice mat!
I was expecting it to be a bit thicker but it's still pretty soft. I also wish they would have made it a perfect square instead of a rectangle shape but that's just a personal preference. It's very pretty and easy to fold up. Super light weight! I also feel the price is a little high for what it is but it's better to me than the puzzle piece mats.

It's a cute and practical mat.
It's a bit expensive but I'm glad I bought it. It's like a thick yoga mat so it softens any falls my son has had during tummy time. It's very cute and I love the dual design option. The mat is very simple to clean and unlike foam tile mats, it drys much faster when wiped down and my son can't pull it apart. The only downside is that it does get a little cold (when I have the a.c on) because of the plastic-like material it's made of. This isn't a dealbreaker for me or my son. He loves playing on his mat. I'm actually thinking of getting a second one.

So. Many. Holes.
I wish I had bought a higher quality mat to begin with. I got this mat for our living room about a year and a half ago. I immediately noticed it was lesser quality than the “baby care” brand play mat we got for the playroom (seen in the background of the photo), the foam was not nearly as dense and it just seemed flimsier. Sure enough, it only took a few months or weeks even for my dog’s nails to start puncturing holes in it. After a few more months, there were large tears in the surface. You could just stick your fingernail into the mat and it would pierce a hole. The foam inside started to become discolored in all the spots where the surface teared, so the play mat always looked stained and dirty, even when it’s just been cleaned. After a year or so, it had large rips along the edge, one rip went about a foot into the play mat! On the other hand, the “baby care” play mat we have in the play room is the same age and is in perfect like-new condition with zero holes or rips, and while it maybe doesn’t get quite as much foot traffic as the one in the living room, they are only a few yards away from each other and they both get played on (and walked on by the dog) daily. We are replacing this one with another Baby Care mat.UPDATE: it’s been 2 years since we threw away our slip hop mat and replaced it with another Baby Care mat, and reading back on this review it’s shocking how much the skip hop mat had fallen apart in just 1.5 years. The Baby Care mat is not only thicker and more cushiony, but it shows absolutely no wear, not a single puncture, after a full two years in the same exact location that the skip hop may had been in. Do not waste your money on skip hop, spend a little more and go with Baby Care brand.
