Super impressive Seiko Speedtimer
I absolutely love this watch! I've never been a watch snob but for the longest time, I did gravitate towards expensive "high-end" brands but I was never really happy with them. The more I thought about it, the more I agreed that I simply do not like mechanical watches. I know that's an unpopular opinion in the watch world but they're not for me! I then began looking for high quality quartz watches that feel high end, but don't cost a fortune. This is it! This Seiko Speedtimer line to me is perfect! These watches measure 41.4mm so they have just the right amount of wrist presence, not too large, not too small. The case length and height are both super comfortable and I even love the bracelet it came on. I've bought other Seikos before in the $500 price range that still had cheap bracelets with hollow end links, but that's not the case with this one. In my opinion, this watch should be closer to the $1k mark if they wanted to but at this price it's a bargain!I was torn between which colorway to buy when I first started researching these 41mm Speedtimers and the Pogue-colorway was the first one I got. (I have 4 now, and one of the 39mm ones, that's how much I like them!) I was a little worried that being the dial is goldish-yellow that it would be hard to see, but not there is enough contrast between the dial and the hands to make this easy to read at a glance. The lume is excellent and the two-toned bezel give it a pop of color that makes the watch feel fun and sporty. Plus, I love telling people the colonial Pogue story when they ask about it.If that wasn't enough, I upgraded the bracelet to a jubilee from Islander Watches and wow that really brings out the retro aesthetics in this thing! I didn't even know they made a bracelet for these 41mm Speedtimers. I had searched and searched, even in forums and all I could find were bracelets for the 39mm ones, and mentions that they would be making one soon. Then I was browsing their site and I found it, it's model BRAC-111 (for the jubilee) and wow its super comfortable and adds a bit more bling to the watch. I think Islander needs to improve their SEC maybe, because when I searched nothing had popped up, but anyway, I wanted to mention it in my review in case others are looking for one.

Small but eye catching!
Eye catching color scheme! Color combination pops.It is not a big watch. I think if it were a little larger, it would have appealed to more men. For bigger arms, this Pogue might look like a child’s watchI have a 7” wrist and only had to remove two links (approx. 3/4”). For those with wrists > 7-3/4”, expect to purchase additional links if that is possible….or buy a larger bracelet/strap.If you are ok with a “small” watch and have a wrist on the smaller side, this is a “looker”.I like to look at Seiko, Citizen, Orient and Casio watches. This is the only watch that had so much eye appeal that I was willing for the first time to spend more than $500 on a watch.I still feel my Casio Edifice Aviator watches have a bigger pop per dollar. And if funds were are an issue, Casio is tuff to beat for value/looks for the dollarThat said, the Pogue is still a beautiful watch to add to a collection. I’m keeping the Pogue.

Amazing Version
I’ve owned my Seiko SSC947 Speedtimer for a short time now, and honestly, I love this watch more than I expected to. The first thing that strikes me is how bold, but clean enough that I can wear it every day. The chronograph layout is sharp and functional, and the pops of color give it a subtle racing heritage vibe that connects back to Seiko’s history.

You will regret not getting it!
My favorite watch! I have many watches but I find myself wearing this watch a lot. I have large wrists and I didn’t have to remove any links so be aware that if your wrists are around 8 inches you might have to get more links. I love the solar aspect of it and it’s grab and go nature. It’s also very striking and would be wearable on virtually any wrist size if not too large. Its very comfortable to wear for hours.

A chronograph you can use.
Nice watch and Easy to read. I use it to time my walks with my dogs and unlike my other speed timers I am able to read the minutes dial as the hand moves incremental making it easy to see the minutes marks. I also like the yellow? Mustard? Gold dial, it works for me.

ALMOST PERFECT
Great watch and so far accurate within 2 seconds a month. I knocked off one star for the lug width. 21mm. Almost impossible to find a better replacement band. I also miss the quick release push pin on the outer lug for ease of strap removal. I can live with the band it came with but would prefer more options. Love the retro style. Reminds me of the Seiko watches I would see when I was stationed in Japan in the early 70’s. As stated before, the accuracy is insane.
