I have used this ink since I purchased the Epson Stylus Photo 580 All In One Inkjet Printer [...]. One draw back of this ink is that you HAVE to use this ink. It can be rather pricey but it does put out a great quality photo/document so there isn't any something-for-nothing issue. You can get the hi-def color ink or the regular but there is a difference in output and the price isn't that dramatically different to go ahead and spend on the better ink. It is kind of like putting low-end gas in a high priced car...you shouldn't. Now that you've got a very nice and semi-expensive printer, put the best ink in it. The inks do last a while and I haven't had one problem with them except maybe availability. I can't find the hi-def for this printer in many common stores like Wal-Mart or Target. That may be a deal breaker for some but just hit up the closest office supply store and they're sure to have them. And like I said, they last pretty long so you won't be venturing out that often. Lastly, choose the draft print option for a lot of text documents or things you don't want to use your nice ink on whenever you can. This ink and printer are really great for actually printing high quality photos so save it for something like that.

The idea of printing at home is why people got printers to begin with. They could do their own projects without having to go to an office, school, or store to do it and they'd have what they want. The accessibility was meant to be inexpensive and efficient.These color cartridges are efficient, but they are not inexpensive. Why is say this is because I don't print that often, and everytime I do have to print something, it seems like I'm always having to buy a new set of color cartridges because they dry out way too quickly. So now I've just washed away $75 for a few sheets of paper. To add to this, the Epson stylus 280 printer that these go in won't allow me to print in just black if one of the cartridges is empty and that's sssooooo. Very annoying.When they print, they're great. But when they've dried out, be ready to shell out bucks...

This ink looks fantastic in pictures or whatever I need it for and the price on Amazon is still better than Epson's price. The one problem I have is the amount my printer uses so it tends to run out pretty quick and th I just need one color andfor some reason so I have to go buy a whole pack just to get the printer to work. Why my printer won't allow me to print without one color is annoying but I don't want to take it out on the ink since it does its job its just the printer. Other than that gripe this is still the best ink I have used even though I have used a lot of it. Worth it to get fantastic looking pictures and if you have an Epson printer odds are you have learned to stick with Epson ink.

Great Ink! The problem is they do not have much life and cost a lot! I have lived in Mexico 8 years and these cartridges I have not found. The Epson printer is great. But, it costs too much to operate since these cartridges are so short-lived. If any of these 5 colors runs low, even the black will not work until the low color cartridge is replaced. I like the quality of the print when all are working. But Series "78" is a money drain.

Amazon continues to be a terrific source for genuine Epson Claria ink. The price is extremely competative and shipping is free. The ink arrived at my door in about three days. Convienient, cheap, and easy. What more could you ask for?I have tried other replacement brands of ink for my Epson printer. The quality is poor, they don't last as long, and they dirty up my printer.
