Blew me away! Brilliant pair of glasses for productivity
The glasses were delivered the next day. I have been using them for work with the ultra wide monitor. The screens are extremely clear and crisp. Everything is super smooth. Beam is not needed as the One glasses have the X1 CHIP which means you can just plug and play on any device and it can anchor or follow without any other devices or software installed as it has built in 3DOF and the X1. They are comfortable although do take a bit of getring used to.

Great for gaming and watching content
Great for gaming and watching content but too low resolution and colour accuracy for professional work with graphic or text.In general if you never tried this kind of thing it will blow you away you basically put an over 100" screen on your nose wherever you are: on in your bed, on a plane or train. You can also connect it to a phone with usb-c video out so no need to have a laptop or a console with you.Would be 5 stars from me if it was 4k and colour calibrated.

Blurry and everyone around can hear the speakers
The screens are blurry and aren’t immersive as it just shows as a small screen in front of you. Everyone around can hear the sound playing, even on low volume.

Almost, but not quite. Best of the bunch, but still a way to go IMHO. Returned.
I've been following the rapid advances in these types of devices, and have tried a few - the Xreal Air 2 Pro, the Viture Pro and now these, the Xreal One. The big difference here is that unlike the other two, the Xreal One glasses aren't just 1080p screens slapped on your face. I mean, they are, but the fact you can pin the screen in virtual space, allowing you to look away from the screen, is a big step up from the previous glasses I tried. You could get a similar effect with the others using additional hardware (I tried the original Beam with the Xreal Air 2 Pro to achieve this, but it was a terrible experience) but the Xreal One has this capability built into the glasses without needing additional cables or hardware. That's nice and a welcome addition. Of course, you can disable this feature if you want, and just have the screens fixed in place in front of you, regardless of where you're looking, like the older devices. When the screen is pinned, the tracking is really very good indeed - smooth, accurate and without jittering. It's a nice experience. The displays are birght, colourful and the refresh rates are good. The 1080p display and the lenses on these glasses are good enough for most things, but slightly lacking for some other use cases (read on for more about that).Another huge improvement is that you can now scale the screen. Again, this was a feature that could be achieved on older devices with extra hardware, but here it's all built in. This scaling option means you can decrease the screen a little which means you can easily fine tune things to see the whole screen easily, something that I always wanted on the other devices. Fuzzy edges around the display were a common complaint for these types of glasses, and the problem still exists on these to an extent. However, slightly reducing the screen size helps hide this somewhat. They also have a digital IPD adjustment, but this did absolutely nothing for me. The Viture Pro is the easy winner here as it has physical adjustments for this that do actually make a difference. The IPD setting here just seems to be a bit of a gimmick, so don't buy these for that feature alone. The style of the glasses is ok. If you look directly at someone wearing them, they're not terrible, but if you look at someone from the side, they do still look kind of odd/silly. But, that's a limit of where we are with the tech at this point, so no big dramas, but be aware that they certainly don't look like regular glasses from most angles. These have an awful gloss finish, but luckily this is just a clip on surround that can easily be removed. Underneath, the frames are a much nicer matt finish that also doesn't show fingerprints. I'd recommend removing this clip on surround and chucking it back in the box as soon as you get them. So, overall a big improvement over the earlier glasses, so why 3 stars? Well, a few reasons. Firstly, the lenses are not uniform and show clear distortion on certain content. I wanted to use these for productivity as well as watching movies and playing games. Sadly, reading text on these is not comfortable. I had a virtual desktop pinned above my real monitor screen and used this as an extended display. The problem is, reading text is still not a great experience partly due to the resolution, but more so because of lens distortion. This wouldn't have been noticeable on older devices, but because you can now pin the screen and look around it, or away from it, as you move your head, the text noticeably distorts. This I believe is down to manufacturing defects/limitations in the presumably plastic lenses being used. They seem quite low quality compared to the rest of the device (which has excellent build quality) and really let down the whole user experience. For productivity use, better lenses are needed that are more precision made. For the price of these, this issue and subsequent lack of clarity is not acceptable to me.The other reason for 3 stars is down to the breakneck speed at which Xreal are releasing new hardware and concerns that your very expensive glasses will very soon be out of date and potentially will no longer receive software updates. This is speculation of course, and I'm glad that there's a lot happening in this space at the moment, but if you're spending this much money, would you be happy to have the latest device now, and then have something better it in 6 months which may raise concerns about product support for your device? In 2024 I think (and perhaps you should double check me here) there were 3 iterations of Xreal glasses released. In fact, these Xreal One glasses are due to be upgraded in a couple of months with the release of the Xreal One Pro. Apparently the Pro version has improved lenses, so maybe that will solve my issues with productivity use. Either way, buyer beware and look back at Xreal's prior release schedule and form your own opinion on this. For me, the lens issue, the promise of improved lenses in the soon to be released Pro model, and concerns over the longevity of support for such an expensive item lead to me returning these for a refund. I do like the idea of these, and when the Pro version is released, I'll give them a go and hope that finally, there's some glasses like this that meet all my needs. Of all the glasses I've tried, these are the best for sure, but they're still not quite there for me yet. As always, YMMV, and if you get these from Amazon, and ensure your order is fulfilled by Amazon, returns are easy and free, so perhaps try them yourself and see how you get on. For watching movies and playing games, they're ok, but for productivity, not so much.

These are great
They are amazing for films and games.Text is slightly blurry for some areas of the screen for work, but I don't find that interferes with my productivity. The benefit of having a giant curving widescreen when working away from home, or even at home, more than outweighs the downsides.I really like them.

Great screen and sound, LOTs of Wrinkles.
Don't buy them. They've got a very bad design flaw that makes them unusable in many circumstances. They just switch off for no reason. And it's not the cable. They're terrible. It's supposed to be a design to save power. It's poor and I'd rather do without the feature. The good: very clear and stable image. I was able to work on them for several hours and read both Kindle and royal road content in the weekend I bought them for so long I had to charge my table and phone, twice. So, truly excellent visuals. The 50 degree field of view is fine with a ultra wide setting for working too.Audio and microphone quality is top notch. So why 2 star?Update: After following steps with support (admittedly prompt to reply), I still couldn't get them to update. It dies at 30% every time. Basically this part of the package is extremely beta at best-it's where I find out that we are actually in the cutting edge (meaning buggy), end of the market. It's a year too early. Firmware updates should just happen, no frustration and nonsense, like all my motherboard flash updates and such like have. So why these are 100% finicky (I tried a dozen times!!) I do not know but as I write, I'm debating how to do a return. Not a faulty unit but faulty firmware update processes. Unhappy. The frustrations. I'm considering sending them back.On a slightly older dell laptop, I have a couple of pain points.1. The OTA site through the browser refuses to see the glasses in any browser - despite my being ON the glasses at the time!2. UAC vs DP - first, they won't keep a setting, you have to change them each time. UAC is default, yet DP is the only one I get sound from. The Microphone may or may not choose to be recognised by windows. Some of this may be fixed by firmware but I can't even GET the firmware. Hence frustration. So, would I personally buy them if I had to start over? No - I'd wait 18 months or more for these kinds of things to no longer have such catch 22 problems. However, if you have a much newer laptop to use with them (make it a good gamer one or something that doesn't force the less capable graphics card to be primary in the interests of battery power, like the Dells do - otherwise you'll be in 60hz land forever!), then they are a good display.Whatever you are viewing, the screen has to remain on - if it's a phone, so you can control it too.So it's a mix. You can work for hours in them, I have, but there are niggles you have to just live with at present OR hunt a LOT for fixes (in my case with no success).
