Its cheap and it works
Not much to say other that the light weight construction of this stand would not recommend it for constant road use. However, for occasional use as a stand which someone would carry with them to a gig...its just fine. Very light and compact to carry and works just fine. I'm using it to mount a tablet holder for music reading and it is stable enough to do that job.

Floppy But Good?
I do not know what to say really. These are inexpensive and do not take up much space, but they're really floppy. I had to tell my lead singer not to hold on to the mic stand as he sand and moved back and forth because I did not want him to break it! Oddly enough, I think this is a good stand for the money anyways.

An okay mic stand
I bought this with my new recording setup so I could have an inexpensive mic stand. However, it's not the best for recording music. If you touch the mic while on the stand it will rattle like crazy. For a frontman like myself, it's a bit of an adjustment to get used to not touching the mic while singing. However, it does have its uses. I used this to sing a song for my brother's wedding and it worked perfectly because it's small, light weight, and portable. Our truck was packed full when we were driving home and there was no way we would've been able to fit a full size microphone stand in there. So, in closing, If you're planning on getting this for your daughter's karaoke machine, buy it. If it breaks, you won't be in the hole too much. However, if you are planning on using this as your daily gigging microphone stand, I would not recommend it.

Perfect and Compact
It was sent broken but Amazon replaced it with no problems....it is perfect for me....very easy to adjust to height, folds up in its own carrying case....and I can even pack it in my speaker case....I ordered a 2nd one for my grandson's birthday

Meh.
This stand is flimsy, and easily toppled. The heavier and higher the microphone on top, the worse this problem becomes. If you have ever had a wire-frame music stand, this is built like the base of one of those -- thin metal tubes that telescope inside one another. At the top there is an adapter (which is not secured, another problem) to convert the flattened tube to a standard microphone clip mount. There is no way to secure the legs either -- they work but just barely. For the same price, you can get a real (On-Stage for example) microphone stand. It will weigh more and not fold up as compactly, but it will also work a lot better. This is best suited for leaving in your trunk in case you come up one stand short on a gig. Since it weighs next to nothing and folds up small, you can have it with you at all times. That's about the only thing it has to recommend it.

You get what you pay for...
I did not have high expectations for this mic stand, being that it was only $15, and yet I was I was still disappointed. It is sturdy, but flimsy and too short. Good for my kids and the drummer, but not for me or anyone taller than 5' 6"...
