Incredibly overpriced for the quality obtained. Soft away from centre, and very soft with aberration in corners. A 2x digital crop will be better, and cheaper than this. Oh and it's also very heavy and very big. Very disappointed given the price

Bought it for iPhone 16 Pro Max for fun to see if it could improve background separation. TLDR: not noticeably.Pros:- well built (all-metal casing).- smart protective carry case.- 1x camera did actually still function.Cons:- absolutely massive.- very heavy (heavier than the phone in a case).- auto-focus hunting issues.- long minimum focus distance.- fiddly to attach.- difficult to handle once attached because of the weight.- you'll need to rig out your phone in a cage and handles to make handling more stable, or lock it off on a tripod.- only works on 1x camera (not macro, 2x, or 5x).- camera switching functions no longer work.- worse stabilisation than native 5x zoom lens.Conclusion:By the time you have all the kit to make it useful - cage kit with handles, lens, filters - you're almost at the price of a second-hand Sony APS-C camera (and you'll still be able to use your phone normally).

This lens isn't suitable for the Galaxy S25 Ultra as it blocks the auto focus sensor. Manual focus is very difficult even on a tripod and the images are very soft with strong chromatic aberration.
