Powerful, versatile with a good selection of included blades, accessories
This my 3rd food processor in over 40 years, the first was a Cuisinart made by Robot Coupe purchased in the mid-70's when food processors were a novelty, the second a Kitchenaid purchased maybe 10 years ago, and now this, another product made by Robot Coupe, the originator of food processors, and sold under the Magimix name for home use. The Robot Coupe Cuisinart died after a long, long time when the motor froze, the Kitchenaid was ok but suffered from the bowl and plastic parts cracking in a year or two. I ultimately replaced the Kitchenaid with the Magimix when I could no longer find a source for replacement parts. If you are a serious user of a food processor and can afford the price, I recommend it highly.I use the Magimix to make various bread doughs, slice and chop vegetables and to puree various mixtures such as pesto. Good design with a powerful motor that has not slowed with heavy dough. The base is heavy and while it may rock a bit when processing dough, it stay in place. Easy to clean for a food processor, just immerse the parts in hot soapy water and wipe it out. The manufacturer says it can be put into a dishwasher, but I don't put any clear plastic/polycarbonate in the dishwasher as it will eventually craze in my experience.

We love it!!
We love it!!! We're very pleased so far with the 4200xl Magimix food processor. We just started using it for basic things, but plan to make some bread dough to really test its ability. It's very sturdy & much quieter then our Breville. However, we beat the crap out of that processor & it's still going. We've had that processor for years. We would have purchased another one from them, but the reviews were not favorable. We're impressed with the power of the Magimix & how well made the accessories are. We hope to beat the crap out of this processor as well & hope it too, will last for years!!

Safety hazard after a couple years; absolutely would not buy it again.
Good: The multiple bowls make it very handy if there are multiple ingredients to chop/slice/shred. Organization of accessories is very neat.Bad: The smaller bowl can only be used inside the bigger outer bowl to run the machine. If the ingredient has more liquid, during processing or transferring the liquid easily spills to the outer bowl. That means when cleaning, both bowls have to be cleaned. It kind of defeats the purpose of using the smaller bowl. So I stopped using the smaller bowl and always use the big bowl.Really Bad: After two years, all three buttons start to stick. At that point, turning it on and off becomes a game of whack-a-mole. It's an absolute safety hazard and I would expect much better from a $400 food processor.

Saves me time
This came on time and is easy to use. It has so many uses that it saves a ton of time in the kitchen. Brilliant salsas, easy doughs, and the perfect texture of bars and other things that a blender can’t do.

Love it!
This is an amazing processor. It is so much quieter from others I have owned. It has multiple safety features that prevent you from turning it on in error. The options and attachments allow you to use it for various needs. I highly recommend this product.

Can’t beat Magimix!
I grew up with one of these back in Europe and my mother swears by it. I finally caved to her relentless recommendations and bought this model. It’s pricey but I have to admit that it’s a thing of beauty and it does incredible things. Cleanup is fine once you get used to it, and if you appreciate uniform slicing and blending and grating (especially in large volumes) then you will quickly fall in love with this.
