Great little MP3 player
Feels quality, easy to set up and good sound quality. Internal speaker not great but this is very good value and I would buy one again.

A good MP3 player that, at £30, is as good as a lot of much more expensive ones.
Model reviewed: AGPTEK M16SB 16gbOkay - this is a first impression, which I may update as I use it more.First of all - the good bits (no particular order):1. A very nice, solid feel. Good weight to it - not plastic - feels like a metal body. Not too small, either - fits nicely in the hand.2. Responsive physical buttons rather than touch-sensitive. I prefer this, personally. The up/down/left/right buttons do just that - unlike in some players, where the left and right are used to move up and down! The volume is changed using proper buttons on the side, too.3. Good, bright screen. Brightness can be altered (a little).4. Menu is easy to understand - written description appears underneath a selected icon so you don't have to wonder...5. Excellent sound quality - but remember this depends on (a) the quality of the recording, (b) the playback device (this unit), (c) the quality of the headphones/earphones/speakers driven and of course, (d) your hearing!6. Bluetooth pairing and connection was very quick and no problem with any device I have tried so far. (Just remember - you can only pair a speaker/headphones etc. to ONE device at a time - so if your MP3 player won't connect to something it is probably paired to something else. Just disconnect any other device first.) Oh - you have to connect each time you start, rather than it being automatic. But the dedicated Bluetooth button makes this easy, and anyway you might have several devices to choose from each time (it remembers them.)7. 16gb is a huge memory - plenty of space for a LOT of music!8. Internal playlists can be generated. (Though I believe it won't read loaded playlists.)9. Most music formats are supported, though I haven't tried this out fully yet.10. Includes a set of comfortable earphones (but I haven't used them as I prefer over-ear headphones)11. The radio works okay (with wired 'phones connected only) - auto-tunes to FM stations (but there's no station info displayed - just the frequency. Now the niggles - though they are only slight niggles, not deal-breakers:1. On the screen, album art is not stretched to fill the space - you need 600x600 dpi images if you want to fill the space properly. Fix that using some program like Photoshop or similar on your PC. Oh, and it is stretched slightly sideways - not square. Also occasionally displays album art really tiny regardless of actual size.2. On Bluetooth, a tiny fraction of a second is clipped from the start of each track. I found this annoying, so I'm using wired headphones all the time now.3. Throughout, the unit ignores the metadata embedded in the tracks, except for the Artist name and the Album cover art. Instead, it refers to the filename for sorting and displaying data. The unit displays the filename, rather than taking the track title from the metadata. It also only displays the first 24 characters. Because the filename is used, you have to make sure your music filenames are preceded by "01,02,03" and so on, or they will not play in the right order. The solution to this is to change your filenames. (I recommend the use of a program like "MP3Tag" for changing things like this, and album art.) It took me 3 days to do all this to my music collection!4.By default, the display will turn off after 30 seconds or so. It is best to set the display and shutdown times to "always on", then a momentary press on the power button turns the display on and off.5. If you've got stuff on micro-SD card, you can only access it by changing to the "Card Folder" under the "Music" menu item - top left. You can't access both card and internal memory at the same time, so "Album" and "Artist" just refers to one or the other, depending on which is selected. A bit fiddly but you can get used to it.6. Gapless play is not possible - though this only matters in some very specialised cases, such as some soundtracks like "Bladerunner" (Vangelis), for instance. There is only a very small gap, anyway - not too annoying.7. In the dark, you can often accidentally press the Bluetooth button instead of the "up" button, thus turning the bluetooth on, and wasting battery.Okay, then - that's my first view of this unit. I will update it later, when I have tried out all the features, like recording and radio.Overall impression - this is a good MP3 player that, at £30, is as good as a lot of much more expensive ones.UPDATE:On three occasions the player crashed when syncing with PC - it went completely unresponsive, and I thought I'd had it, but a LOOOONG press (10-15 sec) on the power button made it reset, with no corruption. Worrying at the time, but solved.Note: With the player synced to the PC, DON'T try altering anything in the player's window directly - make the changes to the files on the PC then delete the player's version re-upload the correction to the player.

Very sturdy, and easy to use
Very nice MP3 player, great sound, and once use to the menu, easy to find what you need, a bit heavier than my normal players purchased, but being metal construction very sturdy. Drop and play your tracks or full albums easily.Would recommend.

Great at first!
Nice looking mp3. Easy to set up and use with ample storage (around 3000 tracks) and really good sound quality. Even the provided ear pliugs are ok. Bought wireless ear buds and no problems with set up or connection at first. Decent battery life as well. Now to the problems. Firstly it freezes with a lot of use. This can be cleared by holding on/off button for 5-10 secs, but is a pain in the arse frankly. Recently problems with all the buttons and now after 7 months use it's goosed. Buttons not working, connectivity lost . In fact it's broke. Waste of money. didn't even use it that often. Pity.

AGPTEK MP3. Great Product
I have three AGPTEK products and very good value for the money. This one is of metal construction and well made. A little short on play durability but I only buy AGPTEK due to their ease of use and longertivity

Great little player
I have been looking for a replacement player for my ancient Samsung YP-R1 as it finally gave up the ghost. For the price, this little player is amazing! I don't plan on using it on a day-to-day basis, but it's really nice size to put in a pocket and use instead of phone power when battery is running low! The design makes it look more high end than cheap- very impressive. The memory on it is ample for the price. I bought a Samsung 128GB micro evo card and everything is currently playing from that (only around 20GB of music so far). Works like a charm. No issues so far. Just drag and drop files and you're done. What I love about this player is the ability to play by folder selection. I like to order and play my music this way instead of the choice of artist, album or genre. As for the user interface, I actually didn't find any issue with it. A lot better to navigate then some players I've had previously.I haven't tested the micro USB cable or headphones yet as I as using my own. I pair it with Monster over-ear headphones and it sounds great. Nice little addition that you can view album art if you tag it.I've updated the firmware on it also, though it doesn't really seem to have changed it much from a quick glance. The only thing that's stopping it from being a 4-Star at the moment is the Bluetooth compatibility. I use a Jam Classic speaker and it's cutting off the start of every track, which is annoying. I won't use it that much though, so it's not a deal breaker. I'll try to find out if there's any setting I can change to make it work better. All in all, a great buy and super value.
