Not bad for a proprietary HRM
I've been using one of these for several years now & recently lost the strap. The price was right so I just bought a whole replacement!2 things to be aware of:1. If not more than 50% charged it seems to have trouble connecting to the Sports-tracker app, even if you've already paired it. I get around this by re-pairing through the app and then immediately starting my workout - works all the time.2. For extreme heart-rate increases (e.g. 1/16 mile or shorter intervals) and very high intensity, the monitor tends to cut the heart rate in half or drop out. Usually not a problem for the average Joe.The strap will last for many uses if you make it just over snug and at least rinse it in warm water after each use.

Loyal SportsTracker FanBoy
I have been using these HRM and APP since 2012. To date I have tracked over 1500 workouts. The APP and HRM itself are solid. I love the accurate data and tracking abilities. Keeps your workouts accountable, and as a data dork, love keeping track of specific times, routes, heart rate data etc. As many reviewers, the STRAP of this monitor is it's weakest point. I have had to replace the strap three times to date. Every time being only the strap and not the monitor. You cannot beat the fact that the monitor is a rechargeable battery and that is lasts forever. A nice bonus to having to buy multiple over the years is having multiple chargers. One is in my car at all times and one is kept home, so there is no excuse for running out of juice. Lasts about 2 weeks give or take on a single charge. Highly recommend this product with the exception of the strap. At this price listed buy two, these went for over $100 when they first came out!

Am I dead? According to this, maybe...
I use their software so I bought the heart rate monitor to supplement my fitness tracking activity. I'm not super impressed. I know I'm running and moving around, but sometimes this thing works, other times not at all? I've wetted the contacts, moved the belt up and down, tightened and loosened the strap. I've done it all. Sometimes it works and other times it looses connection. So after my runs when I go to review and analyze my run, it may or may not have tracked some or all of my run. Other times it shows my heart beat at 60 beats a minute? Well I know that's not right since the purpose of me running is to raise my heart beat and it feels like my heart is going to explode and it's telling me my heart beat was better than my resting heart rate. LOL I actually try to get in the proper "training zone" and this monitor will either 1) Not give any reading or 2) give some crazy number like 32 bpm. It is so unreliable that I just stopped using it altogether. Theres no use since the data is unreliable. I would not recommend this product to anyone until they fix it.

Stopped working correctlyless than 2 months. The strap is horrible.
Edit: Heart Rate Monitor has started acting up. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. My guess is it is because of the POS strap.Original Review: This heart rate monitor seems to be accurate and works while doing high impact workouts. The strap is terrible though. It is thin elastic and constantly rolls up. It works great with the Sports Tracker app though. With the setting to keep the screen on, I can always see my heart rate during a workout. But seriously, the strap sucks.

SAVE Your Money...!
Wasted more money trying to link this tool on my Suunto Ambit3 and Samsung Galaxy Note8 (either on Sports Tracker or Movecounts Apps). I have had many similar devices in my 50 years of active running and never had such difficulty until NOW...! Don't waste your money, highly recommend you just order the SUUNTO products, unless you want to fill your trash with wannabe electronics.

Since purchasing this item I now have a better more accurate read of my progress
I had been using the Sports Tracker app for some time but always felt it could be slightly off when doing my workouts. Since purchasing this item I now have a better more accurate read of my progress. The heart rate monitor is very simple to connect to an I phone and delivers so much more information on my workouts. If you like a breakdown on stats, I definitely recommend it.

Sports tracker upgrade??
I purchased this item last year and enjoyed it. I have changed my phone to a 6S and now can not sync in to the heart rate monitor. I asked the sports tracker customer support for advise and have not received any response. An answer would be nice, even if it requires another investment. Wondering if this company is continuing to do business.

Best HR monitor I used (and I tried 5 of them)
Best HR tracker I've used. The app comes with optional purchases but it has what I want, without add-ons - a reliable and regularly updated HR, a running total of calories burned, and time spend working out. I literally bought (and returned) 4 other brands of HR monitors, each one was returned within a week or two of purchasing / using them (thank you Amazon 30 day return policy!!) The consistent problem with the other brands was a HR that locked onto a number, problems with Bluetooth, or both. Its frustrating to start a workout and then see your HR hasn't changed. Or having to remove the device in Bluetooth, add it again, and then hope and pray it actually tracks your HR and doesn't locl onto a single number. The Sports Tracker has NO problems linking up to Bluetooth and giving me an accurate and reliable HR that's updated every second or two. I strongly recommend this product
