A great gift for new babies!
Bought this as a new baby gift for a friend living in Auckland,New Zealand. Have purchased others the Gruffalo's Wean & the Doric version too, again as new baby gifts, one for a friend on the arrival of her first grandchild! Great to these books in Scots dialects, would be good to see other titles too in similar form.

Ideal for perving on your Scottish boyfriends accent
I love this book, purchased for myself so that my Scottish boyfriend could read it to me and I could swoon over his accent. Might have to get him to record it so I can listen next time he is deployed! My 3 year old loves it too, and giggles at the different sounds. Love this!

Gaun yersel! It's pure braw!
This is so good! I've read it to my baby from 6 weeks and she is delighted every time we read it. Can't bring myself to read the original version as the Scots is so fun! I can put a range of accents on and it taught me a few Scottish terms I didn't know. I love saying to my daughter "it's tod!!" so funny. She really loves this. It's a shame the other stories aren't up to scratch but this is well worth the purchase!

I love this book!
The Gruffalo was my kids' favourite childhood story, so to see it appear in Scots was wonderful. I bought it immediately, despite the fact that my kids are hitting their teens now, and we all had a read of it together. It's just as funny (if not funnier) than the original, and is such a pleasure to read out loud. Very highly recommended.
