not easy to use

I'm a big fan of Inkbird products overall and have purchased several of these infrared thermometers. They are nice thermometers, with a good display and comfortable handle. Their main issue is that some of the units are not calibrated accurately. I have one that is within about 0.5 degrees of my other thermometers and another that is a solid 5 degrees too high. I will be returning the defective unit.

Right out of the box it is ready to work. Construction of unit appears to be solid and well built.Easy to understand and select proper scales also checked against two other temp guns and all very close for readings. Hard to beat for the price at this temp range.

I recently purchased a Masterbuilt smoker. Was looking for a thermometer to monitor the meat. Didn't have to search long to find this. I have other Inkbird products and knew what to expect. High quality and accurate. One button control, rubber feet, strong magnet to mount anywhere you wish. Includes clips to mount a probe for ambient temps also. Very friendly app for my phone to set up alarms and to monitor all over my property. Plus a great price. This is the one and look no further.

Not only is the LCD screen too small ti read, but the cutout in the plastic housing isn't even big enough to allow the user to view the entire screen
