My kids learned about the painting in school recently, and loved assembling it. It is pretty tedious with everything looking close in color, so not for the faint of heart haha. End result and display is well worth it

There is nothing to dislike about this set. I was hesitant because it was pricey, but the work and design that has gone into this set is incredible. I am in my late 80's and found this to be extremely delightful to build and enjoy the beauty of the design. With over 2300 pieces, I was missing one piece at the end of the build, but was able to create it with the extra pieces that accumulated. I highly recommend this set for anyone who would like to relax and build a work of art. So happy Lego is being made for adults. I know there are less expensive sets available by other manufacturers of this build, but I highly recommend the original Lego, it is sturdy and beautiful. Kudos to the designers, fantastic job of recreating a masterpiece.

My child loved putting this piece together! Great 3D design that we were able to hang on the wall! Makes a perfect decorative art piece. It’s a been a conversation starter in our home.

One of the first Lego art sets, hence the Ideas branding since it was someone else's idea that got voted to be made into a set by Lego.For the people who want something flat for their walls, this isn't it.However, if you want a cool build and more 3D construction and are a fan of Van Gough's work you can't go wrong. This is more of a fun set anyway since you get a small Van Gough mini figure.

I had originally seen this at a Vincent van Gogh exhibit in New York, but I hadn’t been able to purchase it at the time. I finally got it here and I have to say it’s one of my favorite Lego sets. It’s definitely a complicated build because you’re making a flat image 3-D, and that can affect perspective a little bit. Plus the background has so much blue in it, that I started to lose my ability to differentiate between the different shades. But when it was all done, it absolutely does look amazing. I love the little van Gogh figure it comes with the manager position him so it looks like he’s painting the ceiling in front of them. It’s currently hanging on my wall and I love looking at it every day.

I enjoyed doing this project very much. It was challenging and satisfying. I did this project in my office at night and didn't have adequate light, so I wasn't able to distinguish between some of the closely colored pieces during the early stages of the build and and to rework those sections to persevere the artistic integrity of this piece. In the end, I think it turned out great and am glad to have it on my wall.

This is by far the prettiest Lego set I've ever seen. It's fun to put them together and it's not that difficult.The only thing is that mine came with 2 missing pieces and 1 piece in a wrong color.
