2 Inch Extra Long Barrel Curling Iron for Long Hair, Large Barrel Curling Wand Ceramic Tourmaline Dual Voltage

After reading many reviews on several different curling irons I decided to go with this one by IKV. I was specifically looking for a 1.5" extra long barrel for my long, thick hair. I had a regular length curling iron with the same width barrel for quote some time but decided it would probably be easier to curl my hair more quickly with one that had a barrel long enough to accommodate the length. The iron heats up quickly, has digital temperature controls, the cord comes with a velcro strap for storage, and to me the pressure of the clamp is just right. The pressure is neither too much where I am it is dragging and pulling and I am unable to slide the curling iron down the shaft of my hair as I curl, nor is it too light where my hair just slips right through. Once my hair sets and the curls fall a bit I have beautiful loose curls/waves all day - the exact look I wanted to achieve and expected from the bigger barrel. I did read some reviews that mentioned the clamp lever was situation at a bit of an odd angle that made it tiresome to use the iron and clamp for extended periods. I did not find this to be bothersome to me and preferred this "problem" over other reviews I read about other curling irons whose clamp lever was too weak and flimsy and ended up bending completely. The only feedback I would share with the manufacturer is that the tip of the iron could be a bit more substantial to protect from burning one's fingers. Then again, the iron did come with a glove for heat protection and this personal preference did not influence me to consider changing my rating. If you're looking for an extra long barrel curling iron the delivers on performance and quality without costing a fortune, I would strongly suggest this product even over some of the more expensive brands.

This curling iron doesn't clamp your hair as tightly as some but that's okay because it makes it easy to turn it and curl a longer section of hair. And I like that the controls are situated so that you don't accidentally hit the power or up/down buttons for heat while you're using it.

I love it! As you can see, it works! I just hope the product lasts. The item is also pretty; the only thing I didn't like was the packaging. The box looked used and not very presentable, but what matters most is that the item works. And yay! Thank you for this.

I know this curling item did not receive a lot of good reviews but i was pretty certain it was what i needed and am glad i bought it. 1 1/2 inch irons are difficult to find and i have wavy wiry hair that requires direction and this works beautifully. Smooths out wiry frizzy stuff . However, i see how it could be difficult for someone who was not real experienced with large irons. Besides the larger barrel, the length of the barrel itself is quite long (they do include a glove for protecting hands & fingers). I am a experienced hairstylist who has worked with Marcel Irons thru my career and that helped a lot. A marcel iron does not have a spring clamp to hold the hair in, it's loose and you continuously feed the hair thru the barrel by loosening on the clamp and rotating the iron. That's what needs to happen with this iron especially if you have long hair. You keep pressing on the spring clamp (to lift it and loosen the hair) and rotate the iron as you work. It may be difficult for those without that knowledge but i know many of you are experienced with irons. So, hope that helps.

I loved the size of this product and the color is really pretty. It comes with a digital display and power button which I also really like (my other iron from conair is so old and still uses a dial for temp, but it’s reliable). The one thing that is bothersome, and is a big deal for me is that the clamp doesn’t clamp the hair securely enough for me to curl. I have really thick hair so normal irons clamp really well. For this one It will occasionally clamp if I put a large section of hair in it but I bought this more for my length, not to curl larger sections. Curling larger sections just comes out weird and not how I intended. I really wish it would’ve clamped down more so that the hair doesn’t fall out of the iron while I’m curling. Another small thing it that the top of the iron gets really hot. It’s the black part that shouldn’t really get hot so you can hold it, luckily this came with gloves that I can use to not burn myself

I've used curling irons for almost 30 years. I have long thick hair. I've worn the last one out, it was pulling my hair out and didn't slide through my haor well. Did some research and read TONS of reviews. Decided on this one. I bought the biggest barrel. The length is great! It's so smooth gliding through my hair. It doesn't make curls like the smaller barrel but it gives beautiful waves. It took a little bit to get use to the length of the whole thing. I absolutely love it and how my haor looks after. The cord is really long which is so nice! It gets really hot. I use it at 400 and it works well.

Im a hair loving girl and this is a MUST HAVE for anyone who loves to curl their hair. The extra long barrel makes a world of difference. The easy read digital screen works great! Your curls will last longer and are the perfect size. it heats up super quick! A++++

Just received this today. It took me half the time to curl my long hair!I had a hard time finding a product with the actual curling surface size in the description, so I decided to get this one because it was inexpensive.The barrel (curling surface) is 6 1/4 inches. That's 2 inches longer than my regular curling iron!!!The clamp spring is pretty tight but I'm hoping it will ease up over time.
