Strong easy to install and pretty gold finish

Can't go 4-5 star just because 1) I can tell plating is already fading in a tiny location and 2) I suspect the center bolt fastener will loosen over time. As with everything the devil is in the details. DO's - use Loctite blue to minimize center bolt loosening over time. DON'Ts - throw away the fasteners and get some decent stainless #8*1" screws IF you are going to mount in the shower directly to fiberglass. Supplied screws are way to soft and anchors are made for drywall and will not work for a thin section backing like standard shower enclosures. Don't buy if you expect high lateral loading (left to right in a vertical orientation). The back plate that the center bolt goes through is thin section stainless; not very strong but fine for balance control stepping in/out of shower (I'm 6'1", 220 lbs). Overall, good value. I ordered gold color. Color closer to pure gold.

This was exactly what we needed for our attic stairs. These two holds are perfect: sturdy, easy to install and they look decent. I'm not typically a fan of the polished gold look but in this context they look very fitting. We have gray stairs and a coat of gold glitter paint on them, so the gold handles complement the steps without looking garish. Most importantly, they support mine and my husband's weights when we go up and down these steep attic steps. I don't know why the photos uploaded sideways, sorry just tilt your head to view :D

Would like to know what is the plastic item with a chrome hook that moves. It’s shown in the In the instructions but it doesn’t tell you what the purpose of this particular item which is 2 3/8 x 2 3/8 of the hook.
