I purchased this grow light bar for a hydroponic indoor lettuce growing project. I wanted to test this product against a few others I have ordered (also on Amazon).The light arrived very quickly and was packaged decently for safe transport.This 'Canagrow CG-400 LED' grow light bar utilizes newer LEDs indicated by the high μmol output. Measuring a light by lumens is for humans. Plants should be measured by μmol/PAR to equate the PPFD . This specific bar LED actually achieves the stated μmols that is advertised in their marketing when measured with an Apogee MQ-500 Quantum PAR meter.These type of LED grow lights have come a long way since inception, therefore it runs very efficiently. This can effectively replace a 200w-300w Sodium Halide grow light (but coverage of this light is recommended for a 2ftx2ft area rather than a 4x4ft area) while only pulling roughly 50w from the wall and delivers a more even coverage than a bulb+reflector which suffers from spotlight intensity. You also benefit from an absence of heat buildup due to the LED efficiency. This is ideal for a grow tent, cabinet, or indoor growing environment. Additionally modern LEDs have 10x+ the lifespan of a bulb while never diminishing in intensity.This light has a plexiglass or polycarbonate cover plate over the LEDs, giving this light a "water resistant" rating. It seems that the plate could easily be removed for cleaning although I did not have to remove it.It is lightweight and can be mounted with the included clips and wire. The bar can be controlled by an external timer (not included) and does not require an On/Off switch as some other lights require.I have had this light for a few weeks and it is producing ideal growing results with my hydroponic lettuce project, therefore I do recommend this for others.

Very bright! High uniform ppfd great for a 2x2 space. Dimmer works phenomenally, good spectrum, no issues so far. Better than similarly priced well known brands such as the fecida 130w model, imo this is the best bang for your buck on the market hands down.

This thing is very bright, you are able to adjust the light density, I have in in a 8x4 tent and lights up the whole tent. This thing gets very hot and you will need to use a fan over it to keep it cool.

Great plant light! I don't know why I waited so long to buy one. I live in a basement apartment. My plants never could survive the darkness. I would try putting them up on the high windows. It helped a bit but I couldn't see them up there. This lamp enables my plants to survive while I am still able to enjoy seeing them!I love the timer function too. I can set it to turn on for 9 hour everyday automatically so I don't have to remember to switch it on and off each day. The one minor problem with this feature is that the start time of the 9 hours shifts slightly everyday (by about five minutes) if I leave it on this setting for a a couple of weeks it shifts enough to turn on at night. The easy fix is to turn the lamp on and off every few weeks. Now that my plants are in easy arms reach that is not a problem!

Update 5/14/25:So first grie with this light I really didn't do anything fancy with the plants and can say being it was winter time the light worked good with 3 plants in a 4x4 tent. Now that I just flipped into flowering in my second run I've noticed that this light is too small for a 4x4 tent I personally think if 1 more light bar maybe 2 this light would probably be perfect for a 4x4 tent I've noticed that I have to rotate each of the 3 plants alot more then the first time cuz parts of the plant were not getting enough light. The width of this light is just not wide enough. I would say 2 plants max with this light in a 4x4 tent.Do have this light in my 4x4 wit 3 plants that are in bloom right now so far so good no issues with the light it's self
