Installed on 2010 Prius after following steps from a YouTube video I googled. Whole process took about 30 minutes, and I was able to remove the undamaged cover on my original mirror and snap it on to the the back of this one, so the color still matches my car. After replacing the mirror myself, my car passed inspection with no issues. Highly recommend!

I was about to spend $468 to replace the driver side mirror on my Prius when the Dealer told me the part was not in stock and they needed a few days to get it. I wanted the issue resolved as soon as possible and started doing some research online, when I found the replacement part on Amazon. It may not be the original part, but it looks and function like an original part. The installation was a breeze using youtube. It literally took me 20 minutes to install. In all I spent $50 for everything I needed to install this mirror. I still can't believe the dealer was going to charge $268 for the part and $200 for labor, for something that was probably going to take them less than 10 minutes to install. By the way I know nothing about working on cars and I was able to do this on my own. I ordered on Amazon on a Friday and received the shipment Saturday morning. Unbelievable.

I have a 2011 Prius and used this product to replace the driver side rear view mirror - not- heated. It worked fine except for one detail. The base of the mirror that fits onto the body was not identical to the OEM mirror. The difference is that there is a thick rubber gasket that must be used in order to fit the mirror onto the mounting screws and housing. Initially, I thought this bracket was packing protection and removed it. But you need to use it in order to get the mirror to fit.In terms of the cover, a plain black primed cover comes with the unit, in a separate bag, ready for painting. I did not use the cover; rather removed the tan cover from my damaged mirror and snapped on the back of the unit - worked perfectly.This product does not come with any instructions. I used a YouTube installation video - there are several - on my iPad inside the car to go step by step to install. It took me about an hour because I am slow! Strongly advise getting a set of inexpensive pry tools on Amazon at the same time you purchase this mirror.So far, the mirror is working well in terms being adjustable with the electronic controls and being able to be collapsed to the side of the car in tight parking spots.

Can't go wrong with this company's driver side door mirror. No problems with installation. Used my original color cap since it wasn't damaged.

Electronic are a little mehh but it works so that all that matter you must have a 10 mm and get a plast tab remover so you don't break any one the door when you remove is the coloured piece has not come attached so once you remove your old one it's very easy to pull the mirror off remove for Phillips head screws and then pinched the clips back and remove to your coloured piece to slapnit on the new boy
