LAMY AL-star Fountain Pen - Blue Green- Medium Nib

This was my first Lamy pen, but I liked it enough I’ve bought several more in different colors. The nibs write smoothly, and the cartridge ink is nice, too, although I did end up buying some converters for them. Lamys are work horse pens and take a beating. Cap does not post to body, though. And I love the color.

The color is quite a bit darker than the photos imply, but still very nice.

Stunning design. Three-sided grip is simple, ergonomic, and exceedingly comfortable. The nib is glass smooth if not a touch too wet. I ordered the medium nib and am thinking about ordering a fine one. I'm also considering ordering another Al-Star in a different color with a fine nib. Just saying I think I've found my new favorite pen.

No good

the nib was difficult to allow the ink flow and was a little rough. So I purchased a new nib and all works fine now. Just sorry I had to buy a new nib. Other than that, Lamy is one of the best fountain pens I have every used. I like it better than my Montblanc.

More than I expected. First Lamy I bought was not a good thing. I have them a second chance. Does well

Great inexpensive fountain pen that writes beautifully! Love it with the teal Lamy ink I also purchased.

I like this pen, I also got a extra fine nib with it.It's pretty,and writes pretty well.

これまで同社のサファリ（パステルグリーン中字）を愛用して来たのですが、最近少し持った時の軽さに物足りなさを感じて来たので購入しました。形状はサファリとほぼ同じです（厳密にはワイヤークリップの形や軸の太さが微妙に違いますが、並べて眺めないと気づかない程度の差異です）。ペン先も同一なので滑らかさも殆ど変わりません。ただキャップポストをした時の重心がほんの少しだけ後ろ側に来ます。アルミ製ボディも見た目に反してとても軽いですが、それでもサファリよりはほんの少しだけ重いです。2本続けて手にとって気づく程度のほんの僅かな差ですが、そこが両者の筆記感の差に繋がってくると思います。多分アルスターの購入で悩まれる方はサファリのデザインが気に入ったかサファリを既に愛用している方だと思うのですが、・少しリアヘビーな万年筆の方が好き・サファリのデザインにもう少し見た目と筆記感に重厚さを足してみたいという方にはアルスターは是非おススメです。あとは好きなカラーがあるかとかでしょうか。私は上記の理由でどちらかというとアルスター派ですが、もちろんサファリも大好きなので今後も両者を愛用していくつもりです。

色はとても良かった同じものの色違い、中字をもっているのですが今回のは書き心地が少し悪いです。滑りが悪いような、、まだ使い慣れていないのか、、、

The pen is OK and writing is smooth,but the color I ordered is tifferny bule,like the pictures showing,however,the color I recieved is green. a little disappointe.
