V8 Adapter for Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Converter to Replace for Dyson V8 Battery, Works with Dyson V8 Series Animal Absolute Vacuum Cleaner Installation Parts(Adapter Not Battery)

I got this after getting tired of the Dyson batteries dying and just not really holding up well. I have lots of Dewalt 20v tools, so it made sense to try it. It was way enough to install with just a screwdriver and a couple minutes of minimal effort.The vacuum seems to have more power and last longer on a 5ah 20v max battery than it ever did on the built-in dyson battery. When it does run out of battery, it's easy to swap in a new one in seconds.The big downside is that you can no longer use the Dyson wall mount charger. Not a big deal for us, but maybe for someone. Also, if you don't already have Dewalt 20v batteries and chargers, then this may not be worth the expense. those batteries are good, but they aren't cheap. The knock-off dewalts are really hit-or-miss on quality (mostly miss).

Works as it should.

Easy to install. Worked ok on low speed setting of Dyson. Changed to high suction and it ran for 1 second then stopped until removing battery and reinstalling it. Never did get high power to work with fresh Dewalt battery.Reinstalled Dyson battery and it worked perfectly again. Disappointing.

Giving this 5 stars because it took 30 seconds to swap out, was super affordable, and works with all of my batteries big and small except my new powerstack 5ahs. The vacuum will not run with it, it tries to but it sounds like it’s dying of thirst from no juice. Swapped it out with a regular 4ah and ran both max suction and extended run like it was a brand new vacuum. Buying another to fix up another used Dyson on marketplace to keep in the garage

I’m so glad I found this item. I found a discarded Dyson vacuum was thrown out for bulk item pickup.I brought it home and discovered the battery wss no good. Popped this guy in (just one screw), threw in my Dewalt battery and boom! A fully functional Dyson working as good as it probably did day it was bought!This thing saved me 200$ and gave me a free 500$ vacuum on top of it!! Very pleased!!Installation was very simple, just one screw! It matches the vacuums color scheme and looks like it was built by the OEM. It had a status light that turns on while in use. Keep in mind however, this adapter will NOT charge your battery but you should know this already. You should only charge your tool battery in a the charger designed by your manufacturer. Thankfully they thought of this by removing the power plug that was normally present in the original battery so you don’t accidentally plug your Dyson charger into this to charge your tools battery.If your vacuum is not working, consider this before buying a 250$ battery replacement. You will be pleased!

For me, it worked as advertised. The fact that you can use a much larger battery than it typically comes with is great. Also, the fact that you can charge up an extra battery, so that you could swap fresh batteries out is another plus. The reason I didn't give it five stars, is a simple matter of it no longer being able to stand up right on its own (without attachments), because there is nothing in front of the battery for the vacuum to sit on. You have to lay it on its side, which of course it's not the biggest deal in the world. It's just something I find to be a detail that I would've appreciated.

No more waiting for it to charge to finish vacuuming is worth every penny. Only issue was the base of the unit popped inward when the vacuum fell over and wouldn't allow the battery to seat. Just had to unscrewed the housing and put the piece back. 100% would recommend if you already have the batteries for your tools.

Worked as described on my Dyson - wife is no longer complaining about how quick the OEM battery dies.
