Bought one for myself to try it and didn't want to pay an exorbitant price for something claiming to be a softer option. (Didn't make sense to me because these are traditionally a beach or fishing water sport style shirt who worries about softer).Now my body runs hot always has and for me this will get too hot over 80° outside temp unless I'm in the pool or lake. (Great for that or a cover up for the girls).Wearing this has given me a way to be out in the sun without burning my skin, also no spray goop that sweats off and leaves your skin vulnerable.This is a great SPF 50 hoodie, well made, good value for the money. Looks good and is lightweight with thumb holes and a quality drawstring for the hood.Bought specifically for the kangaroo pouch to help when your hands are full....I also purchased one for my son which he wears to jog in and he can carry a couple water bottles now. His medium size fits better than the more expensive one he already owns....Buy one for yourself and every member of your family.....

What a great shirt! Comfortable, even on hot humid days. It also has a nice kangaroo pocket which I didn’t expect. The hood is comfortable and large enough to put a cap underneath if you wish. The drawstring is well made. I have paid twice as much for similar quality.

I bought my first cooling shirt from REI and I loved it. I wanted more, but it was so expensive at REI. This shirt was significantly cheaper. After wearing it a few times, it does the cooling thing ok, but it's clearly not as fantastic as the expensive ones at REI. It'll do though, I'm glad I bought it. I think I'll get any future ones back at REI though.

Durable threads, keeps sun off, breathable, would purchase again. Beautiful color.

I have purchased 4 of these shirts. The color combos are great and perfect fit. They hold up well to machine washing. The hood is helpful as well as the thumb holes. Very light weight and comfortable.Will buy more. My first shirt was delivered with a hole in the sleeve. It was promptly reshipped after I dropped off to return it. Quick and easy customer service.

Coming from WA State to go to a music festival in Dallas, TX in June presents several challenges. 1) TX is a very sunny place and 2) Hot 2 Handle so I bought this with all my hope and dreams. I tested those temps with and without this garment on and the difference was tangible. Absolutely a good buy. It's light weight and silky too, which helped it keep me cool. The color was vivid and bright, which is exactly what I want for fun outdoors wear. I loved the hood too and the cords for it were a good quality.

I'm 5'-10", 185lbs and the large fit me perfectly. However, this shirt has a VERY STRONG chemical smell — like burning plastic as soon as I took it out of the bag. I'm not sensitive to smells and even for me it was horrific. Kept the tags on and had to return.

Used for painting outdoors to stop getting sunburnt so I don’t have to apply sunscreen on my arms and then get covered in dust sticking to it.

This fits a bit small so order the next size up. My husband is 5 foot 9 and 150 lbs we ordered the extra large and it is a good fit. Not terribly long in the body so if you are long waisted this may not be the shirt for you. It did have a little pull/run where the hood met the body of the shirt but we are still happy with it overall. It was also delivered to my neighbour but they brought it over to me.

Wore this to local street market in hot sun. Deliciously cool and comfortable. Hood a plus. Will use it on holiday and running. Recommended
