Amazing Volume and Hold – Perfect for Textured Styles!
The Slick Gorilla Hair Styling Texturising Powder is a game-changer for my hair routine. It adds instant volume and texture without making my hair feel heavy or sticky. Just a small amount of the powder gives my hair a matte, natural look with plenty of hold that lasts all day. What I love most about this product is how easy it is to use. You simply sprinkle a bit into your hands or directly into your hair and work it through—no mess or fuss. It’s perfect for creating that effortless, textured style, and it works well even on fine hair like mine, giving it body and structure. The 20g size might seem small, but a little goes a long way, making it great value for money. If you’re looking for a product that adds volume, texture, and hold without the greasy or crunchy feeling of other styling products, I highly recommend Slick Gorilla. It’s become a staple in my grooming kit!

Great Product but Small Quantity
I am a child of the 80's. The main hair products available at that time were mousse and gel. Anything with at least an 'extra, extra' hold rating would suffice! Gel came in a variety of colours which had no effect on your hair whatsoever, and I would put about as much as i could onto my head to ensure a nice thick covering to maintain the 'wet look' all day. You could have dropped a bowling ball onto my head and it would of cracked in two. Then came wax, and hair didnt have to look wet all day. Suddenly the idea of 'less is more' became popular, a a standard tin would last months instead of days. In more recent years we have been treated to 'putty, mud and paste'. Thus far I have refrained from applying mud to my hair, but I do like to keep abreast of new and innovative hair products, while I still have hair to style. I saw a couple of videos of people applying texturizing powder and being the modern man I had to try it for myself. The bottle arrived and the first thing I noticed was how much space was left in the container. Yes, the description says its 20 grams but the bottle could probably hold 50. I liberally dusted my hand with the powder and rubbed it into my palms as instructed. I was hoping for something that wouldn't leave my hands as sticky as wax did, but the powder quickly turns into a paste which you then run through your hair and style as normal. Once in however, it doesnt leave your hair feeling sticky. My hair is quite thick so I am always looking for something that gives it a bit more style rather than looking like a solid mass on my head. The product itself works quite well and I was able to style some definition into my fringe, and was able to rework throughout the day. It doesn't provide a firm hold so the wind is its natural enemy but again, a quick ruffle with my fingers and it returned to formation. My main gripe would be the amount you get. Assuming you use 1 gram per use (more if you want more definition), the bottle will last less than 3 weeks. I have tubs of wax that are still half full after several months. So it comes down to weather or not the extra cost is offset by superior styling. Personally I did like the product, but I dont think I can justify the cost to sit in an office all day with fabulously styled hair. I may save it, and break it out for special occasions.

Slick GorillaPowder: A Game Changer for Fine Hair
For years, I struggled to find a product that would give my fine, blond hair the hold it needed without weighing it down or leaving it looking greasy. Then my hairdresser recommended wax powt, and it's been a revelation! This powder is incredibly lightweight and easy to use. I just sprinkle a small amount onto my hair and work it in with my fingers or a brush. It provides a natural-looking hold that's perfect for creating a smart, brushed look or a more relaxed style. Unlike other hair powders I've tried, Slick Gorilla doesn't leave my hair feeling stiff or crunchy. It allows for flexibility and movement while still keeping my hair in place. It's worth noting that this powder offers a lighter hold, which I actually prefer. It gives my hair volume and texture without making it feel rigid. If I need extra hold for a particular style, I finish with a light mist of hairspray. While the initial price might seem a bit steep, a little goes a long way. I've found that one 20g bottle lasts me around 3 months, making it a great value in the long run.If you have fine hair and are looking for a styling product that provides hold, texture, and volume without compromising on a natural look, I highly recommend giving Slick Gorilla Hair Styling Powder a try.

Natural looking finish
This hair styling powder works really well if you want to style your hair making it look natural. It doesn’t make your hair look greasy or wet. Is really easy to apply and lasts the whole day. I won’t look back at any other hair product after using this!

An honest review
So, been using this for a few months now and thought I should give a full review of the product from start to finish. In terms of using it, it easy enough sprinkle into the hair and style using your fingers. However it's a very fine powder (talc like) so you will look like you have bad dandruff! Thankfully it does wipe off your clothes easy enough.Pros: great styling product, doesn't feel heavy in the hair, doesn't actually look like you have product in and it gives a really good hold. If your hair does need redoing later in the day, again the product gives you a decent hold after sorting it with your fingers.Cons: weird one, one that was actually pointed out by my hairdresser. It's doesn't wash out very well, my hair dresser shampooed my hair and there was no lather! Washed it again and there was lather. I done the same at home, if you have this in your hair and put shampoo in, it doesn't lather! Some weird chemical reaction? So it just doesn't 'feel' clean until you wash it again and get a lather. So a big con, it cost 11 quid a bottle and I'm going through shampoo like a salon.
