Surprising
I was looking for something with a nice orange blossom note, and this had popped up in reviews. Since I prefer oils anyway and like mukhallats, this seemed ideal -- and the price is great. I was a little startled when I unscrewed the cap: the first thing that hit me -- and it hit hard -- was oud. If you're not familiar, it's that woody, almost acrid, and very strong note -- it's a common basenote in a lot of mukhallats. It's not listed, but it's there and it makes its presence known. Oud is nice, but it's so very pervasive, and I really didn't want something that was going to be All About Oud, or so oud-y that it was just going to clobber the other notes into submission. But underneath was a fruity-candy-floral, which I hoped was robust enough to emerge from that initial oud onslaught. It did, fortunately, and quite quickly. It stays a bright, fruity honeyed scent, with a light floral overlayer, and the oud and musk keep it from being too sweet. It's a remarkably well-balanced and complex mukhallat: nothing is overwhelming. It wears very well, but closer to the skin than I expected -- not a lot of sillage (although I was wary of putting on too much, so may have underapplied. With oils, especially ones with oud, a little may go a long way.) It's not so orange-blossom as some reviews suggested (I'll find that one perfect orange blossom scent eventually), but it's a gorgeous scent.

Lovely, classic scent and nice bottle!
If you know and like Oud, then you know that it can be quite different from conventional perfumes, and not just because it's an oil. The scent may vary depending on where the wood comes from, how it is distilled, how it is mixed and what it might be combined with. This can lead to some very expensive products. I love and appreciate oud, but I don't have the budget to pay five hundred or even a thousand dollars or more for oud.Oud also has a different scent than any perfume. It can have different notes, from earthy, fruity, smoky, floral, woody, herbal, and the list goes on. What it smells like when you put it on is not what it will smell like a few hours later. As a result of this, if you are expecting a conventional experience, you might be disappointed. But if you love fragrance and want a new experience, this is the product for you. This particular product comes in a lovely crystal bottle, packaged nicely in a gift box. I bought it for myself, but it would make a nice gift for anyone. Some people might categorize this as a men's scent, but if you know and appreciate oud, you will find that it is equally appropriate for a lady. I am a woman and I like this kind of scent. I prefer this over a flowery perfume. For me, this is a rather classic oud. On application, the main scent is oud or agarwood, with a touch of camphor and frankincense. It reminds me somewhat of the smells of autumn: a bit smoky, with a tiny hint of drying grasses and burning leaves in the autumn air. All of these things, in the very best way. Put it on, close your eyes and take a deep whiff. You will sense all these things and more, with the overtone of agarwood as the main fragrance, putting you in mind of exotic lands. It's an initially invigorating scent which dries down in a few hours to an opulent oud scent which will make people notice you without realizing exactly what's different and alluring about you. Everyone is different, and so are their tastes, their body chemistry, and what fragrances they find pleasing. This is the one that gets it for me, and after sampling this one, I am looking forward to trying other scents from this company, and even wondering how the different oudhs might combine together.I bought myself a gift and I'm very pleased with it! Thanks!

I really like this scent
If you like flowery/floral/fruity scents this isn't for you. This is spicy, lasting, definitely middle eastern scent. Not my first time buying it either. If you like exotic smelling fragrances no one else has you'll like this. Please note - I am DEFINITELY not a fragrance expert. I buy according to the spice notes.

Not As Described
Smells absolutely nothing like the notes listed. I get mostly leather and a bit of patchouli. It literally smells like a new car... or a new leather jacket. I don't know if it's possible, but it's like there was a mistake at the Swiss Arabian factory and Noora Onyx was put in the original Noora bottle by accident and that's what I received.
