I followed the recommendation on here to use butt splices and they did the job just fine. If you have a soldering iron
My 2006 Chevy Silverado had a condition where the fan would stay on even with the key off and was completely unresponsive when I tried to manually control it with the buttons on the dash. After some quick googling I came to the determination that the blower control module was the problem. This thing is a piece of cake to get to in my truck, you have to remove the blower fan underneath the front right dash and then you can get the module out. Once you have the module out you'll need to splice some wires to be able to install the new module. I followed the recommendation on here to use butt splices and they did the job just fine. If you have a soldering iron, you could use that as well with some shrink wrap. This auto repair is very simply, just take your time and follow the instructions... If you can change your oil, you can change out this module and save yourself a couple hundred bucks by not going into the dealership.I've had this module on my truck for over a year now and have had absolutely zero problems with my blower fan. Good product!!!!

Blower motor working intermittently?
If you're looking at this, there is a good chance that your HVAC blower is either not working at all, or is working off and on whenever it feels like it. Mine was, and I mistakenly thought it was the climate control unit on the dash. Nope, that wasn't it, and almost $300 wasted. Took at look at University of YouTube, and they symptoms matched this resistor being bad. I placed my order, and it was waiting on my doorstep by 8am the next morning! Thanks Amazon. Took it out to my Suburban, and started the replacemant. A half an hour later I was done, and my AC was working perfectly again! Drove around all afternoon running errands, and it appears to be fixed.

Perfect
I have been the only owner of a 2005 Chevy Suburban with automatic AC controls. The fan stopped working recently. AC and heat worked, climate control panel worked, but no fan on any speed. Troubleshot the system and determined the fan was good (hot wired it to a 12V source). The fan and control unit are surprisingly accessible compared to some cars I have had the displeasure of working on. While I was tinkering with the wiring and checking the voltages, the system did strange things; for example the fan came on, one speed, and would not turn off even with key out. I concluded the control module was to blame. (As with just about anything these days, there are good videos avaible online.)This item did the trick. Simple to install, although you do have to splice three wires. I understand this is an improved design. Time will tell if it holds up.Great Amazon service as always. Ordered Sunday afternoon, received Wednesday. AC fan up and running an hour later.

Worked for 15 Months.
It worked great for 15 months. Original one lasted 15 years. Found the replacement part failed because of a water leak from the windshield. Bought another one and it works great. Changed rating to 5 star.Additional notes:Put a second one in after the first failed after 15 months. Works fine although it is odd that the module came in a plain paper bag. I would guess, GM does not use plain paper lunch bags. One thing to note, I choose this part again, since I did try less expensive non GM ones and the fan/blower speed control does not work as well. The fan speed does not always turn on at the low speeds for the non-OEM modules and they sometimes stop running at the low speeds.

I now have a great HACK too speed up the instalation of this part. ( I highly recommend this )
The reason I installed this part on my 2006 Chevy 2500HD was the controls for my climate control would not respond to input and would not power up or down and the fan motor would not shut off even when the key was removed. I can not vouch for the parts longevity because I just installed it yesterday. The hardest part of the installation was removing the power connector plug from the back of the fan motor. Seeing that you already have to use 3 butt connectors for the 3 wires that go to the new Mod. controller plug. I highly recommend my hack which is too just cut the two purple wires that go to the back of the fan motor its just 2 more wire butt connectors one wire has a white stripe so you don't cross connect them. If I would've done this the installation would've only taken me literally 10 minutes as I fought that damn fan motor connector plug for 25+ minutes.I also found out that you can also remove the fan motor on my 06 2500 hd with no tools as its just a clip and a twist, go figure that I found this out after I was done installing this part. I also highly recommend buying some heat shrink tubing to cover the butt connectors and make the install look much more professional than electrical tape. For the life of me I do not understand why this part does not come with the butt connectors crimped one end of the 3 wires and 3 pieces of heat shrink tubing included in the package. All in all the installation was easy I'd say a 4 out of 10 on the difficulty scale, it would be a 2 out of 10 if they instructed you to cut the 2 fan motor wires or how to drop the fan motor to get to the damn power connector in the back of the fan motor. The climate control works great again and the part fixed the problems that I mentioned above 100%.This is not an OME part but it appears to be an upgraded part over the OME part, I guess we shall see how long it holds up.Good luck, "you can do it".

Fixed Escalade blower that wouldn't shut off!
Worked fine, instructions are decent. Also, consult YouTube. Be prepared to do 3 electrical connections. I used those shrinktube w/ solder butt connectors. If you choose to pull out the blower motor, be careful as the plastic is brittle in these 20ish year old vehicles. Definitely snapped off my mounting tabs, not sure how it's still up there but it is... lol

worked great for my 2003 GMC Sierra 2500
The heat on my 2003 GMC Sierra kept cutting out randomly until one day it completely stopped working and it was not my blower. This part worked amazing and have had no issues since. Easy to instal if you are comfortable connecting a couple wires.

It works. Installed on 06 Sierra 1500 Crew Cab.
Started my truck up one morning to find that my blower fan was suddenly going full-tilt regardless of HVAC settings, and would persist even with the truck turned off completely. Spent a few days having to remove a fuse every time I parked my truck while I waited for this part. Battery would have surely died otherwise.Installation is a bit of a pain, but that's just because of the cramped location of the part. Any work behind the passenger side kicker-panel is always a PITA. I wish the new part was just plug-&-play and didn't require any wire-splicing, but it is what it is.A couple months later and the part is still working fine though. Considering what a hassle it becomes when the BCM goes bad, I would recommend spending the few extra bucks on the ACDelco part instead of a cheaper off-brand version. This is the correct part if you have automatic HVAC controls (RPO code CJ2, HVAC controller has a digital screen and dual-zone controls). If you have manual HVAC controls, you'll instead need a similar (and much cheaper, lucky you) part called a Blower Motor Resistor.

Exactly as described, but a day late...
Product is exactly as described. Install was super easy, and took less than an hour.
